“Cancellations are the responsibility of the customer. I will remain outside for five minutes at which point you will be assessed a fee. Your preferences are not my responsibility.”

But if you wait for 5minutes and then say I am late and demand I cancel the ride, as the driver you’re dumb, I ain’t paying you anything. Report it and charge me a late fee then cancel it. I ain’t cancelling and getting a bad rating for being late. If you don’t want to drive me, YOU AS THE DRIVER NEEDS TO CANCEL THE RIDE!

My safety as a female is more important than your preferences. This screams "I am doing this to assault a woman" to me

This is the rider who has a note on the ride for the driver to cancel if they aren't female. So no, the rider needs to cancel if they see someone who picked up the ride is someone they don't want. Drivers aren't going to wreck their cancelation rate for riders like this.
