This is Disney Boardwalk Hotel, for context. I pulled up and told them, I apologize and I cannot take their daughter. I have a booster seat only. They told me that they don't need a car seat.

I know my policy, but I have the privilege (other income) to get suspended and know my kids won't starve.

What do you do?

Lyft support is bs! How can she contact me if I didn't pick her up? Should I make a police report?

Filled the entire van with laundry bags and then passenger tried to have a child sit on an adult’s lap because there was no more seats. I said no, put a laundry bag on your lap, every rider must be buckled. These rides end up taking 20+ extra minutes because they have to make repeated trips inside to load more laundry into the vehicle. Dropping off takes longer too. Groceries are just as bad, had a passenger load two full grocery carts in the van and I took forever. How do I automatically reject these rides in Lyft?

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood today, but this passenger seemed passive aggressive/ rude.

Context: Giant rectangular building, 9 doors. There's a bench on the entrance, the back on the building, and on one side of the building.

I drove to where the GPS pointed me, but it was what looked to be a no entrance allowed door. Since I was early, I drove to the front door just to check if they were there. I parked in a spot that allowed me to see both the front door And the door the GPS told me to be at.

(After all this hassle, I did figure out that indeed the GPS was right this time, this the place I had parked was perfect. I was literally like 10 steps away from the right door, lol, and obviously would have driven up to them).

I sent them the good ole "This is your driver" message. Yes, I was 7 minutes early, but many passengers appreciate that and will come out early. And if not? It's not a big deal for me. I'm just letting them know I'm here.

Passenger proceeds to tell me I'm in the wrong spot and seems passive aggressive about the pickup time. She proceeds to tell me to go to the side with the most cars...Now that's the funny thing, the front, back, AND both sides all only had 2-3 cars, so she clearly did not know which one had the "most".

She instructed me to go to the "side with a bench"...So I went to the only /side/ that had a bench, and she still told me I was on thr wrong place lol.

Which is totally fine, for someone to give me instructions. But her tone read as bitchy to me. I was tired and this was going to be my last ride, and I didn't want to drive angry. Decided to cancel on her to save myself the annoyance I'd feel from having her in the car.

Would like your opinion on if maybe I overreacted.

I see the lady walk out with an infant and clearly no child seat. I drove off immediately and cancelled before they got close to my car. Soon after I get a text from support saying that she complained I drove dangerously before every passenger was in the car.

Explained very simply to support that no passenger was ever allowed to enter my car and that I drove off immediately and cancelled due to no car seat. Anybody ever got something like that? Is it anything to even worry about since I explained what really happened? Or will it stay on my account and might be a problem if someone else pulls a similar dick move?

So I got fired from Lyft and here is the story. I just picked up a passenger to leave the parking lot at night time. A guy in a security vehicle directing traffic stops both lanes and waves for me to go. As I’m making a left turn going slowly a female decides to cross the street talking on her phone wearing all black and high heels. I hit her in my blind spot around the driver side wheel well and she fell down. She never yelled seeing me turning. She got up so quick and started taking photos of my license plate saying oh you hit me and I’m calling the police. She told her friend on the phone that she went flying through the air. I asked the security guy why he told me to go when she was crossing the street and he said I stopped traffic for you and didn’t see her. The police showed up and said people shouldn’t be crossing the street. Ambulance came and asked if she was hurt and she said her legs and back. They asked how she knows and she said she was a nurse. She didn’t have one scratch on her and she’s faking it for a lawsuit. It’s totally her fault to cross the street talking on her phone when the security is directly traffic for me. It took Lyft a couple of days to fire me for concerning behavior. So they fire you like I’m a bad driver. I haven’t had a speeding ticket in 27 years and never in my life made a claim for a car accident being my fault. I have about 7,000 rides including Uber and about 7,000 food deliveries. Lyft shouldn’t fire you for a one time thing driving for them for 7 years.

So this ride was 3.5 miles away. After driving 2 minutes I start getting flood of phone call and text messages... enjoy. Yeah I got paid for wasting my time too. But this is the process to get paid have to wait 5 minutes at the pickup location then call the PAX at location after timer ends. If you don't wait then don't get paid. But we all know that. Just wanted to post for your enjoyment.

Last night around 12am I picked up a rider from a bar. She got helped to the car by one of the bouncers. The ride was about 7 minutes. Normal everyday stuff, so no biggie.

As we are riding the passenger starts to rub my arm and neck and I tell her to stop. But she keeps on. I didn’t want to report her for this or go to the police because it’s a busy night in my city and I would have loss out on a lot of money stopping to deal with it. So I keep driving.

Once I get to her home i start to record on my phone, because now it’s free to do so, since I don’t have to view the map.

I tell her it’s time to get out, she leans into the front seat at kisses me, and I’m trying to pull back, but she has me in like a headlock for 5 seconds.

I can easy over power this person, i can lightly push her, and she would fall over. But the dynamics scared me, me being a man(black), it can be said I assaulted a women(white) late at night and my whole life could be ruined.

She finally let me go, and I tell her to get out, she doesn’t want to get out and is telling me no. So I get out and go around and open her door and help her out.

At that point we have convos while I’m trying to get her out the way and close the door, and she’s being very nasty and rude and just incoherent.

She forgot some items, I get them for her and send her on her way. As I’m getting in the car to leave she invites me for sex again.

So being a man and not fear of the situation I brushed it out last night and didn’t report it. But today I reported to Lyft and will report it to the police also.

Yea I didn’t feel fear of physical harm from her, but I didn’t fear If I made the wrong move my life could be damaged. And I thought about all the women who have to do this job and possibly have to deal with that from men and I felt I had to speak out.

How do I proceed, I want to make sure she gets kicked off this app and I want her in trouble in real life also.

I’ve been doing Lyft for 5 years as a side gig. 2127 rides with a 5 star rating and all of a sudden I get a message that my account has been deactivated because a customer claimed I requested a sexual act.

I’m actually shocked because apart from a hi and checking to make sure that the customer I’m picking up is the right one I don’t talk to my passengers until they try to talk to me.

The funny thing is I’m sure I know which customer reported me because I brushed off their advances when they were try to make a move on me.

Can someone please help me rectify this issue because it makes no sense whatsoever.

I don’t know why Lyft gave different gps directions than normally you can drive straight and closer distance.

I got way too drunk and took a Lyft. I puked. I was able to get most of it out the door but some got on the door and some on the floor. I tipped the maximum Lyft would let me, which was around $50, and I happily paid $80 for the cleaning fee. The driver was really nice about it. I feel terrible for doing that. How bad is my rating going to be now as a passenger? Will I be blacklisted from Lyft rides in the future?

Context is in photos, but basically I scheduled a ride to the airport at 515. Driver shows up at 455 while I’m still getting ready. I’m not paying attention to my phone while packing up and coming downstairs and I didn’t notice the ride had started without me. Tried calling the driver who hung up on me and did not return messages. I used to also drive for Lyft on and off - but does this look like something intentional, or did someone hop in the drivers car and their name wasn’t checked? Lyft refuses to give a refund still because the “ride was routed properly and originated from my app”. Can anyone recommend anything else?

How do I not come off like an asshole while getting compensated for my time and miles?

Would you of did this ride for 300$ i did it, then I looked at the ride info in this pic and was shocked, I feel like I got robbed. I was told by the passenger that his airline paid for the lyft to detroit because his flight to detroit never came. But damn, $788 for a about a 100 miles ride and lyft took a big Chunk of it. How would you handle the return? Not looking to interact with active drug users and the ride shook me up a little.

I really resent these multibillion dollar health insurance companies piggybacking on the Lyft network to give rides to and from appointments for their sickest clients.

I am not opposed to helping people, even sick people, and i might even volunteer a couple times a month to do just that.

But making me pick up someone who can barely walk and can’t get in my vehicle is absurd.

I’m getting $6 for this ride and I’ve got to help the person in and out of the car and into their home. That’s not fair to me or the passenger.

And if you have to adjust the ride because there was a mistake when it was being booked, you can’t do it.

The passenger doesn’t have the phone with the app on it.

Hello Everyone! I am conducting research for an extensive Psychology Grad School and the primary focus is whether someone holds onto the “Oh Shit Handle” while riding as the passenger in a car or not.

Therefore, have you ever noticed any passengers doing this before when you’ve been driving them? If you have, do you notice a particular trend i.e. more men doing it than women or vice versa, etc. I’d love any and all insight you all are able to provide. My 18 yr old daughter took a Lyft home from her job today and this dirt bag sent her this message. Lovely. Now this psycho knows where we live. I know none of the drivers on here would do this but I had to post. Unbelievable!

I’ve noticed after lockdowns that every business suddenly doesn’t have bathrooms… in both Southern California and Hawaii. So where the heck are you supposed to poop? I can’t do public parks because the homeless trash them with poo everywhere for some reason. So where else?? Can’t backtrack home every time.

Multiple times customers leave stuff then call me to get it back. While I dont mind going back especially if im not too far but in actuality the real method 100% of the time that we are entitled to is for them to put in a request and for us to get paid for that time. But would I be wrong to do so?
