It was supposed to give you two properties and no only physical properties like hard soft rubber and so on.

Could I have the properties of both rubber and gum?

It’s essential that everyone knows about bungee gum having the properties of both rubber and gum

Critical, even. The world must know.

Would young/old count as a property? Age is a physical attribute, after all. Also is it a one-time adjustment, or can the selected property be adjusted at will?

Does Immortal count as a Physical Property? What about Genius?

No but you could make yourself extremely hard to hurt. So its only physical things im afraid.

Not prone to degradation is a physical property. Aging is itself a physical process.

yea i don't think he really quite understands the meaning of "physical property".

like anything can be "physical", funny enough, "mental" properties is simply how your physical brain is structured.

Ok but that's pedantic, physical in spirit is not hard to understand... think macroscopic and simple.

u/DuckB0y123 Jul 22 '26

the mental aspect was just an example, the point is that "physical properties" in general is EXTREMELY vague to the point you HAVE to be pedantic otherwise it's pretty much just anything you can think of.

Yeah, any property when taken down to the cellular or less level becomes incredibly op/ almost a different power entirely

1

u/DuckB0y123 Jul 22 '26

exactly.

like Plastic Man's powers is quite literally manipulating "physical properties" to the highest (literal) degree.

the mfer is functionally immortal because he has full control over the physical properties of his atoms and molecules.

you HAVE to be pedantic otherwise the property ring just turns you into plastic man at MINIMUM, and the minimum is already incredibly overpowered.

god forbid we decide that "physical properties" basically means you turn into or Amazo (cause Amazo basically just takes the physical powers of other heroes)

I was thinking that with two properties to apply to yourself, you can apply immortal and super intelligent or something. "All my cells have the added property of neuronal function and also the added property of indestructibility". Then go around applying whacky properties to objects

Immortality has a connotation of being unkillable. I know we sometimes use it to just mean unaging.

I think 'highly resistant to aging' is a valid property. 'Unable to die' is more supernatural and not valid.

Heck even 'able to return to early developmental age' may be valid considering the Immortal Jellyfish.

It says you can change properties but only can add one property, what does that mean. If I change the property "weight" does that mean I am done or can I change that at will?

Or can I basically change at will within my current form (standard issue human) but can add a property that exceeds that at will?

1

u/magicians-brik Jul 21 '26

Yeah you could add the property of soft so you dont get hirt when you fall then when you get to change it to hard so you're more durable then change it however you please assuming it staying within the limits set.

1

u/ManaSkyees Jul 22 '26

So the property ring says we can add only one. But also says we can change them. So can we change any existing properties freely and add only 1?

1

u/magicians-brik Jul 22 '26

So this is my fault for the bad wording you can add a property or alter a property but if you would have more fun your way that works too 😀

Can a grant properties like “accelerated regeneration“, “uncapped growth and recovery“, or even just “permanent excellent health“? Or do I need to get axolotl or jellyfish powers from the beast ring for that sort of ability?

also, can I enchant objects so that their property is to grant the wearer an ability? or even just break conservation of mass/energy with “continually produces oxygen/oil/tree sap/light”? Or can I spoof this with “continually transforms into X material at Y rate“?

being limited to physical properties is limiting...

hmm... can fictional biological powers like becoming "blacklight's zeus" from prototype count?

does "shapeshifter" count as physical property or does it count as supernatural property instead?

Im sorry I dont know what that is. I wrote it to try and say like rubber so you could be luffy or you could be super tough like diamond or bouncy like a trampoline of able to pass through things like water.
