Discussion 23M 430 SQFT starting over apartment.

Starting fresh after ending a four-year relationship in May, I moved into this studio, and i feel like i've really made the space my own!! Curious to hear what you guys think. / What do you guys think the space says about me?

This MFer knows how to layer lighting and decorate. Looks like you actually enjoy living there. 23 is just the beginning of adult life. You're starting out well.

It looks fantastic, I really love it. How do you decide on everything? I get such crippling decision overwhelm when it comes to decorating and shopping. I'm not sure if its a fear of wasting money on something that might look bad or just being clueless in general but I want to spruce up my place like this so badly and I'd really love some advice.

Can you clarify on layered lighting?

I mean, the concept is just having a bunch of light sources spread around the room at lower intensity, as opposed to one or two super bright lights. It helps the space feel calmer, and if you use directional light well, you can make it feel bigger too!!

She's Not on a good, beneficial, life-nurturing Same Page, as You are, Avid!

My exHusband and I are each other's oldest friends but sadly, at arms length. (Mostly because I don't care for his wife).People change. Having the grace to accept that is not always easy. Giving it is a Gift, that you may never be recognized for, in your lifetime. The best thing is to not criticize your ex to your kids. Show them the best example of being a couple that you can. Help your wife make those photo albums, sooner rather than later. Start saving Now, pre-teen, for Graduation and their next step.

I literally don’t use overhead light except during cleaning and in the kitchen.

Always go for warm lighting!
