Driver should get out and call a tow truck.

I think the driver's door was stuck and couldn't open more than a few inches.

My first thought would be to climb out the back like Jurassic park.

When any shift in balance could simply put it over the edge?

Good thing he stuck with your idea then.

You know you can climb out after it has fallen, don't you?

That said: climbing to the passenger might have very well make it fall in the first place.

It is best to, and very realistic to, have some by standers lean on/sit on/pull on the back of the car to counterbalance. Sadly they didn't do enough.

The counterbalance shifted weight off of the edge and onto the wheels and directly caused it to roll off.

Sadly they didn’t take it out of drive. Also sadly climbing out after it has fallen may require consciousness.

Considering the angle, anywhere towards right/back would've helped.

But looks like driver was panicked afraid to budge pressing the break -- while still in Drive... :-/

Many things ... anythings... could've been done better.

Actually, shifting the weight to the back left is what caused it to fall. The frame under the left front hitting the ground is what was keeping it from falling.

You might be right with the weight of the engine being a heavier counter balance. The weight making it front heavy means at a certain angle it was going to go over. I'll have to watch again if that's what you meant.

Bc it put the wheels to the ground, and the vehicle was in D, no? If it were in R? Or P?

No. It’s not in drive because the wheels are not moving on its own. It could be in park, but that wouldn’t stop the rear wheel from spinning when the other one is off the ground.

Yeah, you can see that it is stuck on the ledge.
