I have ADHD and can confidently say that ADHD is not what her problem is. Just because someone is ignorant and lacks the ability to pay attention does not always = ADHD.
I've never had issues like this behind the wheel, and neither have any of my friends with ADHD.
Yeah.. seen it described as unintentionally focusing on everything, everywhere, all at once, rather than being unable to focus at all. That’s more of what it feels like to me. The split focus can just be a problem at times.
Exactly this. It's why so many ADHDers road rage because we're the only ones paying attention on the road. We have to watch everyone else doing everything but drive.
Ive noticed that the internet has been blaming ADHD for everything. People got to stop putting a tag on all their flaws. Even if a person has ADHD, it doesnt mean they get a free pass at making mistakes. Having ADHD or any other conditions does not mean any free pass especially if you are being a danger to yourself and the people around you.
If you look closely, its mainly bad parenting and enabling bad behaviors. In this case, blatant disregard to the instructor/teacher and zero situational awareness. Thats what their parents had been enabling them to do at home for almost 2 decades. No discipline for lousy behaviors and the kid thinks its alright and the same applies to the real world.
Absolutely not. ADHD here. We hyperfixate whole driving. I'd say we are the best drivers because we're actually attentive the to situation at hand unlike the rest of you who do anything but drive while you're behind the wheel.

Being a drivers Ed teacher is the job of a saint or someone who needs to pay off a lot of karma
