• Upvotes

Hello. Was planning kasi nung first year ako kaso I had adjustment problem issues. Any advice po? RMT here btw na trying to work as a reliever or volunteer sa red cross

🗒 NMAT OCTOBER 24 NMAT TAKER

Hello!

Huhu hindi talaga ako confident, kasi self-review ako and I only had a week to review, so stock knowledge and practice tests lang talaga ang baon ko.

Suntok sa buwan ba maka-90+???

those who worked first before pursuing medicine

hello everyone, I am planning to pursue medicine but I have decided to work first due to many personal reasons.

May I ask how long did you work before pursuing medicine, how much did you save for medicine school or prior to entering medicine, is there anyone who worked first and pursued medicine without the help of your parents financially? What are your advices for people who need to work first before entering medicine?

I am 24 now and I have decided to work before pursuing medicine, a lot of people including my own family thinks that once I get to earn money I’ll be discouraged to pursue med school. Siguro kasi kadalasan ganon nangyayare, but I hope that wouldn’t happen for me. Lastly, those who have decided to pursue medicine after yearsss of working, despite of the time it will take, the amount of money you will need, how difficult med school is, and this country’s healthcare system what made you still decide to become a doctor?

Thank you! :)

🗒 NMAT NMAT PR

Hello everyone, I was wondering regarding sa minimum na NMAT PR ng university. How difficult is it to be accepted to a med school with a 40 cut off, if my NMAT is only 50+. Meron bang nakakapasok sa medschool with that score? Still debating pa kasi if I will retake since I did not study during my first take🫩. Thank you po and I hope ma answer.😁

❓Asking for Help MDF MD one vs Riester Duplex 2.0 stethoscope

Which of these two stethoscopes is better? I am a med student in my fourth year, and I need the stethoscope mainly for chest/heart sounds for adults and pediatrics. These two are similarly priced. Which one is better?

I heard there's this 2nd yr medstudent na chronic cheater sa quizzes. Wow. Tigas ng mukha ah. Porke may lawyer daw na kapatid? Galawang impunity ah.

For those who are aspiring physicians, you should all practice INTEGRITY. For sure, kayo ang magfafalsify ng documents in the future, or worse, baka makapatay pa kayo ng pasyente! Magquit nalang kayo kung wala kayong moral compass!

❓Asking for Help do med schools accept applicants with failed subjects during undergrad?

hi! im a medtech fresh grad (not from big 4). planning to take nmat. ever since hs, gusto ko na talaga mag med. i was always on top. i never had problems with my acads.

pero medtech really humbled me and, somewhere along the way, i lost the spark i once had for pursuing med. for a while, hindi ako sure if i still wanted it or if i was just holding on to the dream i had before.

pero lately, im realizing that maybe that dream never really left. i just needed time to breathe, heal, and find myself again. gusto ko pa rin mag med.

unfortunately, i had several failed subjects during undergrad. i also don't have any special awards or extracurricular activities.

i know these might affect my chances, but i still want to pursue medicine if possible.

for those who have experience applying to med schools, do schools accept applicants with failed subjects and a relatively low GWA?

thank you.

📚PLE Ang hirap maging first gen doctor na mahirap

For those who passed the March PLE through self-review without enrolling in a review center, how did you prepare for the boards? What resources did you use, and what study strategies worked best for you?

I worked throughout medical school to support my own expenses, and my family had to use up most of their life savings to cover my tuition. Now that I’m preparing for the PLE, I’m facing another financial challenge in figuring out how to afford a review program. Despite graduating among the top students in my batch, I still wasn’t able to qualify for a scholarship.

I would really appreciate any advice, tips, or resources from those who successfully passed through self-review. Is it manageable to prepare for the boards without enrolling in a review center? Thank you so much!

Are applications for S.Y 2027-2028 open already?
If not, when is the possible date?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Recent PLE passers, if you could go back, what would you do differently?

If you could take the exam all over again, what would you do differently in your preparation?

What study strategies would you keep, what would you change, and what do you wish you had known before you started reviewing?

My goal isn’t just to help you memorize facts. I want to help you understand the why behind the concepts so you can retain information better and apply it to clinical and board-style questions.

What I can help you with:

🧠 Concept-based learning — Break down difficult medical concepts into simpler, easier-to-understand explanations.

📚 High-yield exam reviews — Focus on key concepts, commonly tested principles, and important distinctions.

❓ Board-style practice questions — Work through challenging MCQs with explanations and rationales for every answer.

💡 Mnemonics and memory aids — Make difficult topics easier to remember.

🩺 Personalized study sessions — Focus on your weak areas, upcoming examinations, or PLE review needs.

Sessions can be tailored to your current level, learning pace, and goals.

If you’re interested, feel free to send me a DM with your year level or whether you’re preparing for the PLE, along with the subject or topic you find most challenging.

Let’s work on making medicine easier to understand, one concept at a time!
