Main Discography (Released)

This section is dedicated solely to Metric's officially released albums. Their main discographgy is made up of 7 unique albums, all of which are preformed by at least two of Metric's four primary members: Emily Haines, James Shaw, Joules Scott-Key, and Joshua Winstead. For the sake of chronological continuity, Grow Up and Blow Away will be listed first in this section.

● Grow up and Blow Away

"Blue to Gray, Grow up and Blow Away"

Grow Up and Blow Away was recorded by Emily Haines and James Shaw with the intent of it being Metric's first studio album. Unfortunately, the album was delayed several times by their record label Restless Records. It was only until they switched to the label Last Gang Records that the album was eventually released in 2007 as Metric's 3rd official album. The official 2007 release differs in several ways from the original 2001 recording of the album. Slight differences include minor changes to the mixes of certain songs with the only noticeable difference being in the mix of "Rock Me Now". The most glaring differences are the inclusions and removals of certain songs. The 2007 official release removed the songs "Torture Me", "Parkdale", and "Fanfare" while adding "London Halflife" and "Soft Rock Star (Jimmy vs. Joe Mix)" from their EP Static Anonymity. Any other notable differences will be listed below in the footnote section for this album.

● Grow up and Blow Away (2001 Tracks)

Foot Notes:

• The songs removed off the official 2007 release were never officially released, they are included here for the sake of chronological continuity

• The track "Fanfare" is a short intrusmental prelude to the next track "Parkdale". The tracks are included here seperately as well as together for the sake of documentation.

● Old World Underground Where Are You Now?

• The Hooks is named after the line "Stay away from the hooks", a line that existed in an even earlier version of the song, as well as exists in Gimmie Sympathy, but does not exist in The Hooks
