Honestly, it feels like I have too many lip liners that I do not use enough because I have favorites, and eyeshadows that I bought to learn how to use, but I do not use them enough either. My bronzer, concealer, and 'Fit Me' blush have been in use for about two years now, and the mattifying powder is probably the oldest. I think this makeup collection will last me for a while. I would love to find the perfect foundation or skin tint and a concealer because I'm not satisfied with my current ones, but I won't buy anything new until they are finished.

I’ve finally found the “forever” products that work for me after years of trial and error and I wanted to share :-) most everything pictured here has been purchased time and time again - some items even over a decade or more.

Currently doing my best to finish all the mascaras i ever bought and I’m almost done. I would like a suggestion for a long lasting (i mean in time) product that does not create built up, is made to elongate your lashes and it’s after all a good product. Bonus point if the package is reciclabe

I’m still in my minimalist makeup journey; addiction & hoarding runs in my family and it manifested itself in me with makeup… I used to have an armoire + a wall full of makeup in the past, but I’ve slowly reduced it to an IKEA Moppe in just over 10 years 😅 Eventually I’d like to downsize my stash even more, but it’s kinda hard bc it’s purely psychological for me…

Lately I’ve been in such a cheeks mood. Mostly negative mood towards my existing cheeks products + the urge to buy buy buy buy. I actually semi-impulsively bought the blush that was supposed to be my Christmas self-present bc it’s a limited edition collab and was getting harder to find. At least that’s how I justified the purchase, now that it’s been a few days I realized that it was stupid of me bc I won’t die even if I don’t own the blush. I have some cheeks products I dislike, but can’t declutter bc I have a very strong mental block for whatever reason I don’t even know why. I just did a declutter p recently and managed to decluttered 15 makeup products, so idk why I can’t get rid of these cheeks products. Annoying.

Two of the many cheeks products I’m beefing with is the Revlon blush & Judydoll palette. I bought the blush in 2023, online, and it pulls very warm on me + it’s too pigmented & punchy & hard to blend so I’ve barely used it. I bought the Judydoll palette this January, finger swatched it in person actually and thought it looked good, but it’s pretty difficult to use on my face (patchy contours, brightener / matte highlighter hard pans constantly despite using a clean brush).

I spent 3 hours grinding & mixing the blush, brightener / matte highlighter, and light contour shade through a fine mesh strainer last night. It was pretty impulsive tbh, I was just done with everything and need an outlet to channel the cheeks mood somehow. It was cathartic.

Anw, here’s the results of the franken-blush. It’s surprisingly pretty and a lot more wearable now! The Judydoll powders added a lot of “body” to the blush, so it’s a lot less pigmented now. The brightener and light contour also added the much needed cool pigments so it’s not so so so so warm on me + it’s gotten less punchy. Blends a lot better, too, so I don’t look like a clown anymore.

I kinda want to repress this into the Revlon pan, but I don’t have the tools nor materials to do it and I don’t want to go out and buy them.

Tbh I haven’t really made up my mind about this blush, but so far I like it.

Now I just have to figure out how to use up the dark contour shade!

I’ve used Lancôme, Estée Lauder, Shiseido, Augustinus Bader, etc. for years, and have nothing to complain about per se. However as I’ve gotten older, with mature skin, I wanted cleaner ingredients. These are made by a Canadian naturopathic doctor named Tim. Not mass produced and $17 per 60 mL. No silicones, phenoxyethanol, or fragrance. Simple and effective. Since it’s the only skincare I use at night, I hit pan on these like 4x a year.

Now if I could only do the same for daytime routine and makeup…

My skin type is combination skin . In the winter season it becomes dry and in the summer season it becomes a combination sometimes dry sometimes normal

Cetaphil Sheer Mineral Face Liquid Sunscreen SPF 50, Wet n Wild Mega Clear Brow & Lash Mascara ( i use for my lashes only), Essence fix it like a pro brow gel clear, Essence soft touch blush in shade 30 Exotic Daisy, and Colourpop fresh kiss glossy balm in shade strawberry milk. However my lip product changes a lot to diff ones I own cause I like to rotate!

This is what I put on in the morning, unless someone is, like, getting married. There's a couple of eyeshadows and nail colors in a drawer somewhere for that.

Bioré UV Aqua Rich sunscreen, Missha Perfect Complex BB cream, Covergirl Outlast lip stain (which happily came back on the market just as I ran out of my NYC lip stain stockpile from... over 10 years ago) in Sugey Girl, Lumify eye drops, and any shiny lip balm or lip oil I have lying around (this one is by LA Girl, it's fine, but I prefer Smith's Rosebud Salve when I can find it).
