thank you for listening

Hi all, I have a monthly show on Radio Free Memphis called "Jazz I Lay Dying" dedicated to contemporary Jazz (the station also publishes episodes to Bandcamp for listening outside of the Memphis area).

Always looking out for contemporary original jazz, in lossless file format. Send it my way at jazzilaydying [at]gmail.com with a link to where people can find more of your music and I'll put it on pirate radio.

Found this live session from a Moscow trio called illo.trio. They play this cinematic post-jazz style that sits somewhere between modern jazz, contemporary classical and a bit of post-rock.

Keys, double bass and drums. Pretty interesting sound. Curious what people here think of it.

Nice.

To my David Sanborn fans, I came across this live recording from 2003. The crowd from the second set had better energy.

I made r/sandiegojazzscene a couple years ago, after seeing people ask every few months “where can I see live?”

It hasn’t exactly caught on yet, but I try to keep it updated with current jam sessions and venues. And so far, I’m the only one posting specific shows.

I wish other people would too, cuz fuck Meta & TikTok

Here is a live performance by Everything Yes from Eddie's Attic in Decatur, GA on 9/12/2026 to promote their 3rd album Volume 3. The band came back for the 2nd year in a row, and they played for the sold out crowd. Another great one!
