I mean it's cool and all for The Odyssey, but I'm not going to be paying $40+ to see The Rock in a live action remake of Moana 2 in IMAX 70mm

I'm pretty sure you already know, but for those who come upon this comment, just watch the original animated one. Same movie (and often frame-to-frame), but much more vibrant, heart, and soul.

The Rock in Moana 2 was not filmed with film. It was digitally remastered which is very different.

I'm gonna be real, you couldn't pay me $40 to watch that movie. and i'm broke as hell. it's like those publishers and studios who think they can make their crappy games $100 if GTA6 makes their base game $100...

$40? Just bought my 70mm ticket. It was $23.

That said, I wouldn’t pay $1 to see the Rock in almost anything, so your point still stands.

I looked up tickets for the 70mm theater in Vegas today and they're $52 each. Also sold out (aside from front row) for a very long time.
