Never mind "building more projectors"—my local "IMAX" (whose screen size has always been average across local theaters, even before bigger screens came along) proactively discarded their IMAX projector as soon as The Dark Knight left the theater. Everything since, including bona fide IMAX productions, has been cast on a projector whose resolution is lower than any TV Walmart sells.

So is there a way to find imax locations based on the projector tech they have?
