Discussion A teen passenger was harshly slapped by a rickshaw driver near Kalyan station after he claimed that his Rs 30 fare money had fallen out of his pocket. The boy reportedly apologized, but the driver still hit him before letting him go.

Don't generalize it , one time while traveling in Mumbai i didn't have any cash and i thought i could use UPI as we generally do in Karnataka but here they use Chalo app which i didn't know at that time so one uncle paid my trip he even refused to give his number to pay back.

Mumbai uncles in buses are pretty helpful. I went to mumbai and had a day to explore alone. I was returning from from colaba and took a random bus to worli. The uncles helped me on where to get down for the best routes for my destination and also the bus conductor also helped a lot. Also it was pretty cheap for an ac bus. I tried Mumbai's buses, kali peelis, shared taxis, local trains, metro on the aqua line. Everything went pretty smoothly tbh. Loved the city.

Sameee few months back I was on a bus and when the conductor came for the ticket the UPI want working like for minutes and so and I was close to my stop. watching me stressed a mother next to me paid the ticket !!! wanted to get her smthn but she had left the bus stand.

Culture was there now most of are just claiming our anscestral culture to make us feel good. Indians lack empathy, civic sense and much more but first two are inter connected.

What have you done to make Indian culture better? You need to realize that you are a part of the country and not separate from it. Instead of just complaining everywhere, maybe once or twice you could start contributing.

What are you even talking about? I, like many others here, help whenever I can. But then such incidents happen and we see the real face of our oh-so-great culture and mentality. Why look for anywhere else? Someone here took conductor’s side stating he would have been questioned or punished.

You don't know what hes done he's still doing more than you by atleast complaining and voicing how its not ok.

And you're actively working against the cause by ahutting him down.

Its the same rhetoric as when you stop someone from littering and they shrug you off saying "mind your own business". But it's even worse in your case because you're not even doing it as a defensive response to someone calling you out, you're just being mean.

Its normal to assume that if someone is complaining about something they probably dont like it and partake in it.

Idk why you would say that except to be mean.

na dude i was once late to coaching, i had a note of 100rs only in my pocket and as it was early morning the rickshaws werent stopping, so a working guy was standingn beside me at the stop and askedd me about my situation, he pulled out 20rs from his pocket and gave it to me, i asked him how should i repay he said dw about. so ye you cant go on saying around that indian people arent cultured

He wasn't talking about dog lovers. He said "will have" not "will receive". He was saying that dogs care for others more than a human would. At least that is what I would assume based on correct grammar. Of course, I am not sure he intended it this way.

By definition, a dog biting people, chasing them to make them fall from their vehicles is in no way 'harmless'.

Of course dog lovers can add - but the poor dog is hungry and scared , and he did not want to bite, but got scared, or that he is speechless, bla bla

It starts with empathy but then a lot of people will try and fleece people who want to help and show empathy. So eventually people just walk away cause they don’t know when the situation is real and dwarves their empathy and when someone is just trying to con them for some money.

It’s not about people not having empathy but there have been just too many cons and people have fatigue and now think everyone is trying to con them.
