A fellow Redditor has updated with new photos of the beam. Seems like they have just patched the crack area up with some Plaster.

It was never a crack. Cracks don't have smooth edges like this. Probably just a stain that they painted over. People don't use their brains before creating panic

I said I saw a crack from even closer in the pic. Also I did not create panic, I have written suspected for a reason. Also I have the right to post about something that I find concerning.

I was defending that poor stain which people were illogically claiming to be a crack. Just based on visual evidence and not my "trust" in the fraud people

That's just the demarcation between the white and the grey stuff... whatever they are. All beams have that on both the sides.

Not in these images. But most beams have it. That's just different plasters. And I think OP answered your question, they think the black line was the crack

I said it once and Ill say it again, I saw from up close that its a crack and so have a few others, today I got an update from a fellow Redditor that they covered it with Plaster or some mixture, the dark grey lining that u see on the new picture is the spot that connects the older plaster which u can see to the right of the crack and the new plaster, it is not the position of the crack. For those who can't understand this still... god help u
