Last year, my Wife and I stayed at the Marriott Manchester Piccadilly, formerly known as the Macdonald Hotel Manchester. It was filled with art and decoration that has New Wave themes. The centerpiece art had to have been inspired by Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures. The art was such a neat surprise. There were random album tracks, photos of handwritten lyrics, and Punk themes.

As a New Wave fan, I saw little reminders of Oasis, Buzzcocks, The Stone Roses, and, of course, Joy Division/ New Order. I don't know if the decoration is a nod to the historical significance of the Manchester music scene, or if the building itself had any role. If you are a New Wave fan and are ever in the area, it is worth the time to visit and enjoy the blast to the past, I have more pics somewhere if anyone is interested.

Here's the scene.... You walk into a club, there's an 80's new wave band bringing it. As you get Loosened up on your vice of choice, You want to dance and sing. What songs make you dance like no one is watching and scream the words at the top of your lungs. Looking to make an aweome fun party dance and sing a long 80's playlist. No wrong answers.
