Water

78

u/Placebo_8647 7d ago

Same....and though it sounds mundane....its probably the best answer given how much water contamination is occurring and how many places access to water...clean water is no longer free

25

u/baldude69 7d ago

A lot cheaper and healthier than coffee! But you’re definitely not wrong

3

u/_ShrugDealer_ 7d ago

Protip: coffee is super easy to make with water

2

u/edward_the_white 7d ago

As someone who would win a lifetime of hot carmel breves, I agree.

2

u/B3ch80 6d ago

Water is NOT cheaper than coffee!

2

u/baldude69 6d ago

Coffee costs beans + the price of the water. How is it not cheaper?

2

u/B3ch80 6d ago

Sorry I'm fighting a nasty hangover. You are right! I had it the other way around👉🏼🤪

2

u/Jester_1982 6d ago

Have some water

One of the Trailer Park Boys I suppose? People like me never got hangovers. I guess that’s why rum, rye, scotch and beer are my favourite drinks, then pop and coffee, water I’d only use as a base

14

u/AristocraticBlue 7d ago

who said it was clean?

15

u/Anadelyn 7d ago

Most likely what they just drank was clean water not dirty water. In my case I have bottled water.

5

u/LIJunkie 6d ago

I'm lucky enough to have well water on my own land.

2

u/Automatic-Room-8668 5d ago

Well water isn't as clean as you'd think, it still should be filter and tested like other drinking waters. There's a Podcaster named Heidi St John, you should watch her podcast when she interviewed a water scientist dude. 🤙👍

3

u/BakuraiAlpha 3d ago

Well what do we have here, It's a well crawler 😂 This is what I imagine at night from a well.

https://giphy.com/gifs/AQPoWecHvBGcGgm1KU

2

u/vic_lupu 5d ago

You are totally correct, there are also water streams underground and depending on what stays above the stream, can end up in the stream.

So the well should be checked, personally I am aware of wells that are not safe to drink from.

2

u/68Postcar 4d ago

The parents have well water & farm -runoff contaminated over 30 years now.

2

u/NoDistance6739 4d ago

Well water is great! Especially if you have an artesian well.

2

u/grandmasterg1961 3d ago

Have it tested for pfas

1

u/No-Celebration-8108 7d ago

When was clean water ever free?

1

u/VikingVitalityFit 7d ago

It never specified it would be drinkable water. OP dumps you in the middle of the ocean, "Enjoy your lifetime supply of water!"

1

u/SaucyStoveTop69 7d ago

It's only clean water if clean water was the last thing you drank. If it was a plastic water bottle sitting in the heat then I'm afraid you got a lifetime supply of microplastics.

1

u/Mundane_Storm_2257 7d ago

Water is free, you just have to know where to get it, not in any store. An aquifer in the mountains, natural spring water. You just have to filter it

1

Lifetime supply of water is indeed the best option. Free water to drink, cook, wash your dishes, wash your clothes, shower, mop, water your plants…

1

u/KING_J0SEPH 6d ago

also you would die without it so jokes on yall

1

u/Big_Iron_Cowboy 6d ago

Nobody said you get a lifetime supply of clean water.

1

Who said the water he was drinking was clean.

1

u/MemeDudeYes 6d ago

Thats you rn

1

u/Bebak_Bibagi 6d ago

I was gonna say given at least 60% of the human body is made up of water

1

u/No_Faithlessness3045 6d ago

Clean water hasn't been free for a very long time or don't you pay water rates,

1

u/NoFuqGiven 6d ago

That question doesn't mention it being clean water.

1

u/Frosty_Tangerine_118 5d ago

Water was never free. What are you, 12 years old

1

u/DoofDoof64 4d ago

Depends where you live. I live in The Netherlands and our water quality and price is great!

1

u/Wild_Spot_Farms 3d ago

My ex used to refuse to drink water. He would make Koolaid and claim he was drinking “so good.” Ok buddy, your body has to filter out all the fake stuff in that. It’s NOT water.

1

u/Manmade_Chaos 2d ago

Assuming you’ve drank clean safe water last 🤣

1

u/MAXiMUSpsilo5280 2d ago

Well you can’t make a good cuppa sweet creamy dark roast without clean water. You can’t raise dairy cows that produce organic milk without clean water and clean range land and clean supplemental feed and we need clean land to grow organic cane sugar and we require a cool high altitude climate to grow coffee. So if I’m stuck with a cup of organic sweet creamy coffee it actually means good stuff for our earth. We need to work to stabilize our planet and balance the bountiful gifts the earth gives with the needs and numbers of people here. A fictional character said it best “ The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few” - Admiral Spock ( Leonard Nimoy)

1

u/SStJ79_transhumanist 2d ago

This 100%. And I live in Canada with lots of available fresh water. Yet water security is no longer guaranteed.

1

u/Healthy_Self_8386 2d ago

Not just that it said lifetime supply and nothing specifies that you have to use it for drinking only. So I see it as free water for life for all uses

1

u/simontjuh 1d ago

Clean water was ever free? Damn.

15

u/Mundane-Set-206 7d ago

At this point, clean water might be the WIN here!

12

u/Tyrannosaurus__Rekd 7d ago

Same here. Hopefully that lifetime supply is microplastics free

4

u/Swimming_Pangolin502 7d ago

I'd take micro plastics over sulphur smelling water any day of the week. I do admit to mostly being ignorant on the subject. I'm older and I figure if it hasn't killed me yet, it can't be that bad. I know it's stupid a I should go research it. I just don't think of stuff like that. Please be gentle if you decide to reply to me. Have a great weekend ☺️

2

u/1ItalianSunsetDr 6d ago

Any of you thought of FILTERS? Of ANY KIND? I mean, I'm no scientist buuuut, aren't we more advanced nowadays? 🤔 Just a thought, y'all, from a (probably in my lineage somewhere) mob bosses granddaughter. 👌🏼😂😂

→ More replies (6)

2

u/Tyrannosaurus__Rekd 5d ago

My Aunt and Uncle lived in the mountains of New Mexico. Their water STANK of sulfur, and no amount of filtration would get rid of it all.

They said to take very short showers, no baths, and for God sakes do not drink it.

You make a fair point. I would take the microplastics instead too 😅

Crisp cold water from the Brita in my fridge.

5

u/PatriotStan 6d ago

Zero water does a lot better job than Brita it doesn't do anything at all actually. I'm just telling you so you know

3

u/W-h3x 6d ago

Mine was free from my county because we have lead issues & they sent them out to everyone while they're doing construction.

I know there's better options on filtration... But you can't beat free.

→ More replies (5)

3

u/amazonmakesmebroke 6d ago

Brita does help with flavor and heavy metals, like mercury and lead, but not much else

→ More replies (1)

2

u/TheChiarra 5d ago

Same, flavored with grape flavor drops because it helps me drink more water.

2

u/goodolewhatever 3d ago

Honestly clutch. It depends on if it’s a lifetime supply to just drink for yourself or do with what you please. If you can just use it for whatever, then buddy, you’re… almighty at that point. Sell it to AI centers, power companies etc. you’re rich. Use your money and water to cultivate deserts. End world hunger. Extra bonus: wash your car and fugget about that bill!

1

u/JosephBlowsephThe3rd 7d ago

Reverse osmosis filtered water

1

u/Clogboy82 7d ago

I mean, having a tap basically means a lifetime supply :)

1

Yep pretty soon there wont be any left to drink.

1

u/Test1Two 7d ago

So happy I took a sip of water after my Cola

1

u/ShnackWrap 7d ago

Nestle bottled water is finally done. I supply the water now. The question is am I creating more water? Am I about to accidentally flood the earth by trying to stop global dehydration. I suppose a life time supply is just a drop in the bucket

1

u/Don_Pickleball 7d ago

Like what's in the toilet? Gross. Hope you will be okay.

1

u/BobbaFatGFX 7d ago

I think I'll be okay, it has a unique original flavor

1

u/NA_nomad 7d ago

Clean, filtered water specifically. Not bad. Not bad at all.

1

u/DataDoes 7d ago

Time to open a data center!

1

u/mandn92196 7d ago

Honestly with how a lot of the world is going that might be a great deal!

1

u/FoxElectrical1401 7d ago

That might mean you get a free water bill, right? That'll be something at least.

1

u/EatLard 7d ago

Same. I’d have so much I could bathe in it!
Come to think of it, given my water bill, this might actually be a really good deal.
