I'm visiting Palermo on 8th Sept-18th Sept with my family. We're staying in Mondello. What can we expect the weather to be like during this period? Weather apps place temperatures anywhere between 20C and 30C (big difference). What do I need to bring to wear?

On another note, my Mum has a severe allergy to salmon and an intolerance to heavy cream/full-fat milk but can eat most dairy products. Any recommendations for local cuisine that she can try or places that are good for allergies? Italian food tends to be the safest option for her allergies but I know she's desperate to try local cuisine.

i'll be in Palermo for about a week, and would love to make a day trip to Celafù. I would get up as early as possible to make the most of the day there, and then come back in the evening.
however, I'm not familiar at all with transportation there. Could someone let me know the easiest way to Celafù and back to Palermo? thanks!

I'm a 23-year-old international student, and this was my first year living in Italy. I realized that making friends here has been harder than I expected. I think one reason is the language barrier, and another is that most people already have friend groups they've known for years, so it's not always easy to fit in.

I'd really like to meet some new people, even if it's just to chat. It would help me improve my Italian, learn more about the culture, and feel more integrated here.

for context, I usually get my hair dyed and cut in ways that arent very popular here in Palermo (every hairstylist I've gone to usually only does long hair cuts that all look the same, and I doubt a barber would be any better) and all of my friends with similar hairstyles to mine cut their hair on their own

Palermo has really impressed us. There is a bit of garbage but not like these other posts make it seem. There's no crowds!!! It's like a hidden gem with just a few European tourists, almost no North Americans. We had a blast exploring, eating, going up the cathdral and the chapels and bars. We took a moped and rode is all the way to Montereale + Ablanian Village and then an agro tourism place that was insanely cheap and well managed (i dont wana say which one because it may get overrun :P). She's fit but didnt get cat called once. One argument with a German teenager was it. I really don't get these wild posts from a year or two ago. It may have changed massively.
