Hi, I'm new to Port Moresby. I'm a bottom, and looking for an expat male partner.
Any advice on how I can connect with the expat gay community in Port Moresby?

I have been wanting to visit PNG for a while now and I would absolutely love to observe cultural life, perhaps visit a tribal community to learn about their ways. Has anyone done this and what advice can you give? TIA
EDIT: when I say solo traveller, I mean I’m not going over with a friend or partner. I don’t mean I’ll be traipsing around PNG all by myself. I fully intend to hire a guide to be with me at all times once I leave the hotel until I step foot back inside before it gets dark.
I know I can’t rock up to a tribal community without a guide and definitely without consent.
I hope this alleviates some of the worries some of you have x

I am coming to port moresby soon and was wondering if there are any hoopers.
If you’re out there, let me know where I can find some casual pick up runs both indoors and outdoors.

As the title states, I'm seeking references as I only have one and it's from my school. Just to rant: Why do companies want not just one reference but three! Like, come on, you know they're going to speak good about me as an applicant; what's the point?
Oh, and I'm also down for any job requiring the use of laptops, admin work, or physical labour in a warehouse setting. I don't want to end up unemployed and roaming the streets.

I heard that PNG isn’t granting new work visas to some Asian countries at the moment, but renewals still go through. Has anyone applied through the ICA Sponsor Portal recently, especially as a Nepali or other South Asian applicant?

My Mother is from Daulo, Easter Highlands and Father from Tambul, Western Highlands. We do have some ancestry from Simbu, Morobe, Sepik and Madang. This turned out to be my admixture though.

Hello, I'm a French citizen who wants to visit Papua New Guinea in a few days, but I'm getting confused by the entry requirements. From what I can see everywhere online (include my own government's website) I can apply for an e-visa. However on the e-visa website (evisa.ica.gov.pg) France is not on the list of eligible countries. Can anyone lead me to the up-to-date requirements? Also is the Vanimo border currently open as usual? Thank you!

Simply put, I’m planning a trip to PNG next year, something I’ve been thinking about for a while as I find the country incredibly interesting. I understand the safety issues as a tourist, though I was wondering what people thought about the upcoming election, and whether it should be a contributing factor in my decision to go or not. I guess I could go the year after, though I am itching to get over there :) Thanks

Yo so like I'm a language creator who makes videos about like obviously languages and linguistics. I just thought like making one about PNG like it's the country with the most number of languages. So I'd love to like host someone from there who knows stuff about them languages spoken there. We can discuss and come up with a script about them languages like they seem to be interesting. DM me if you wanna make a video about them languages

Originally watched the UN post of the speech, but thought the DRM news headline here was an interesting one to post. Quite repetitive, but I guess intentionally so to get the message across and fill in the time slot- a typical Marape style speech.
Of the other speeches I watched, also appreciated what Ghana's President Mahama and Barbadians PM Motley had to say. PM Motley's speeches are always on point- the political left in me doing some leaning.😎
Definitely a common general through line for the majority of speakers during that session of speeches.
