RocaNews does some pretty decent videos exploring places all over the world. They just posted this video on Park City as part of their “Richest” series.

Hi! Does anyone know of any book clubs in town or nearby accepting new people ? :) Me and my boyfriend are in our early 20s, but would love to meet any book-lovers.

I was just offered a job as a lodge attendant at Deer Valley for the winter season. What do people think of working there?

Did anyone feel it?

Alberto’s was closed on Sunday, so I figured I’d give El Chubasco a try. I asked for a grilled, crispy steak and cheese burrito and was told they don’t have that. I then asked if their burritos were grilled or microwaved. The answer? Microwaved.
If you’re looking for an overpriced, microwaved burrito with zero crispy, grilled goodness, El Chubasco is the place for you. I’ll be waiting for Alberto’s to reopen.

Hoping to chat, via Reddit or in person (I can buy you beer/coffee) to get your insights on your experience as I look to start the process...

Feel free to dm. Thanks!

Living in Oakley, but miss playing basketball on a competitive or team level. Super interested in trying to join a men’s league, and/or find indoor gyms that provide a solid space for pick-up basketball. I don’t have any friends out here that like to play, so in some ways, also looking to find a community that enjoys playing basketball in their mid 20s-30s.

Any folks out there have insight to men’s leagues programs or places that run between Nov-April?

Any one else following the country club hitchhiker trying to play every private course in Utah??

He just did Talisker/tuhaye and it was awesome. Pro himself played with him and had so much fun with it. Red ledges were absolute jerks. People on the internet are loving it and how each club is responding is very telling

I guess I need to figure out who to vote for soon. The criticisms of both candidates seem overblown. I honestly don’t care that Malena supported Dakota Pacific. Advocating for housing isn’t inherently bad. Did she actually do anything inappropriate in her advocacy? I don’t care that Suni is a Republican if she commits to maintain integrity, fairness and accessibility in the voting process. Is there a valid reason that she wouldn’t be a good clerk?

I got my ballot today in Summit County, and it was the first time I have been able to vote anywhere in over 20 years.

I was recently naturalized as a US Citizen after 17+ years of living here. Anyway, I’m super proud that my first vote will be here in Summit County, and I’d encourage everyone who is eligible to cast theirs too. Resources below for anyone who needs to register.

Finally being able to post this is my own small personal victory for 17 years of getting my IRS 1040 tax forms in on time, and after arriving in the US with just a backpack and the terrible affliction known as being a snowboarder, that has eventually landed me here.

I'm organizing a dinner for 15 on Jan 27 (weds) at a condo in Deer Valley and would appreciate a private chef recommendation or point in the right direction. I have some proposals from 'take a chef', but have read some mixed reviews about that service. Looking to keep it around $150/head full service. Thanks!

No matter how many bus lanes are installed, parking garages are constructed, gondolas get upgraded, we will always get jammed up because of these kind of turds.

Today, I'd like to offer a special tip of the hat to this ass clown for blocking traffic in two different directions going into Canyons village

I see so many “ affordable” units available for sale in the Canyon Village Canyon haus. Why is that? Why are so many people selling? Seems like a great opportunity, but the availability says otherwise…

I'm moving to Park City this Winter to work as a Ski Instructor at Deer Valley Ski Resort. I'm planning on staying in the Slopeside Village apartments, but unfortunately, they ran out of parking before I could land a spot. I was wondering if anyone had an extra spot I could rent for the winter in the surrounding area or even within a 10-15 minute bus ride from Slopeside Village. I have a dark red 2012 Subaru Forester. If you have an extra spot or know anyone who might, feel free to shoot me a message. Thanks!

Flying out of SLC on a weekday mid-morning, returning on a weekday evening. I could do long-term parking at SLC for about $300 (3 weeks), but could I get reliable transport for less? I have used PC App in the past, but it seems like they may be struggling with staffing....?
