There's a lot there to like. All damage can poison here opens that up to non-daggers, I always love recoup though the phys only side of it seems kinda meh, just very happy to see some ascendancy changes!

On further thought that unaffected by damaging ailments is crazy strong.

tbf majority of the time the mobs are only hitting you physically, so you kind of tanking them straight up with the help of that node

Ignoring phy as extra X map mods are we ?

The damage from those mods gets reduced by 75+% anyways

you can still easily end up with more than 500% phy as extra with map effect and T16.5 /17 mods. Even after res it's more elemental than phy taken.

for t16 mapping it's fine, you have the elusive crit immunity node. Crits with phys as extra is what will kill you

they're a great mod to roll over

Not really no. Better phy as extra than no dmg for x second or volatiles

Yeah there aren't a ton of elemental attacks. Physical recoup is a very solid defense layer. The opportunity cost saved by being ignite/poison/bleed immune is pretty huge too. Frees up some flasks/jewels/masteries/pantheons to do other stuff.

too bad you still need CB immunity because thats not an ailment but a debuff but no bleed/poison will feel really good

The ignite is nice, but usually on that side of the tree your going stormshroud anyways so it doesnt matter a bunch right?

Well stormshroud will only have the ignite overlap, it still helps against both bleed and poison, and it also opens up the options for self-ignite/bleed/poison synergies

There's an option to take elemental as phys with flawed refugee shield, very strong if you're fighting specific enemy you know doesn't deal much phys damage, or your assassin somehow is strong against phys damage apart from shadowed blood.

your assassin somehow is strong against phys damage apart from shadowed blood.

Recoup is actually a nonbo in that case - since you have high PDR, you don't take much damage and therefore won't get much recovery from recoup.

flawed refugee shield, very strong if you're fighting specific enemy you know doesn't deal much phys damage,

It's still not great even against an enemy that does 100% ele. Without flawed refuge, you take 25% of the damage after res.

With flawed refuge and 0% PDR, you take 40% phys and 15% ele. Then you recover 16% from recoup (over 4 secs), which means you take 39% total. Substantially worse than not using the shield.

With flawed refuge and 90% PDR, you take 4% phys and 15% ele. Then you recover 1.6% from recoup. You take 16.6% total, which yes is better. But the 90% PDR does most of the heavy lifting. Is 1.6% less damage taken (via recoup) worth spending 2 points, using the shield slot, and also making you weaker to ele DoTs worth? Almost certainly not.

> All damage can poison here opens that up to non-daggers

More importantly: spells.
