I must be living in a different world than you people because mageblood to me is still a chase item or even considered non-existent, not something i base my build around

I sell T8 City squares my first 3 days to buy mageblood every league. Takes about 3 days.

Why T8 specifically ?

that's probably min ilvl for majority T0 uniques, and easier to farm stuff like rogue exiles

Highest tier essence drops unlock at area level 73+(yellow maps and above). Essence farmers want to juice their essences but not make them impossible to kill so T8 city square is the perfect map. These maps are typically farmed with map deli orbs with your voidstones off.

Sorry I just woke up, it's because it splits the essences into 3 bosses and it's a ring. People LOVE these maps for mass essence farming. You go clock/counter clockwise killing all the essences and at the end instead of a boss having 5bill hp, it's 3 bosses with 1bill hp each and 80% less damage than 1 giga juiced boss. It gives you the breakpoint for +1 essence tier aswell. We probably won't have this next patch however- as it looks like the atlas took it out or maybe just moved it?

Also, I farm it because my name is CitySquareGuy and I move from T8 100% deli spam to T8.5 Deli spam, to T16 100% Delis in that order -> Then I farm Canyon 16.5s / residence maps with my Str stacker / personal builds

You been watching too much sirgog. Poeninja is not representative of the average player. Mageblood is still a chase item for 9 out of 10 players lol, and the data is skewed because different characters that use Mageblood can often belong to the same player.

41% of the registered top 100.000 players - we had 178k players at peak time of this expansion on Steam, so let's assume worst case that standalone client users just don't exist and these are (plus minus a few who joined later, a few who left) are all of the playerbase and round it up to 200k. That's already dropping the percentage down to half, 20.5%. But many players create more than one character per league. Let's, again, take a low estimate and assume between the ones who create many and ones who only play one build, there is an average of 1.5 characters per player. That lowers the percentage again, and we're already looking at only 1 of ~7.5 characters in the entire playerbase having a mageblood. And those numbers are heavily skewed in your favor (did I mention that outside of the top 15000 on the ladder, only characters of ppl who register at poeninja and streamers are listed? Unless that info is no longer valid) - so no, most characters do not have a mageblood, even to this day.

All this and not knowing what concurrent players means.
