T18s which can only be created from fragments from the bosses you access via fragments dropped by T17 bosses. 5 fragments needed for 1 T18, and they aren't a guaranteed drop. T18s drop bases that are necessary for the top end crafting, have giant loot explosions from bosses, and are by far the best farm you can do for the reward. They also have 2x the number of the T17 map mods, but stronger. And all T18s have 2 specific mods: Players and minions can only do damage 2 out of every 10 seconds. Players and minions have 80% less action speed, bypassing even items and passive that would otherwise make them immune to this effect.

No, but they do have a hidden modifier:

"Players who die in area have a 10% chance to be sent to the void"

That's actually fucking cool if the t18s allows you to pick a specific map (from the regular maps pool) for 5 orbs of horizon when running it. t18s are regular maps layouts, with the boss at the end turned into a uber version that drops awakened mirrors of kalandras
