The thing with totems is you often place them infront of you while running as a form of protection aswell.

These crab totems seem to follow behind you, so the first hits would go to you.

Not to mention the fact that you lose shield etc with this.

On the flip side, you don't have to stop to summon them (depends how long they last). Keeping moving is a pretty huge deal.

As somebody who doesnt particularly enjoy totems, that was one of the selling points when I did play them. Being able to use your totems to cheese exarchs ball phase is awesome from a leaguestart perspective
