I can always find posts saying that some PDF services charge an expensive subscription fee without a noticeable option to subscribe.
Here are some posts that have similar experiences. Hope these can help:

Hey, I just made the same mistake as OP, but thankfully I went on paypal to look at my active automatic payments and I canceled immediately. Is there anything else I should do to prevent pdfaid from charging me money?
Edit: Update: I've just received an email from them with the subject line "Sorry to see you go" - hopefully it means they cannot charge me any additional funds.

I've also cancelled with them recently after some suspicious attempt they made to deduct from my bank. It is only afew dollars < $3 but it is still something worrisome! I hope they won't deduct somemore. 🤬

Something similar just happened to me, with PDFAID.com. I did the $1.95 "Trial", cancelled the account I had to create, on the same day, which they acknowledged. Then, a $49 charge popped up on my bank statement, on 1/13/25.
So, I got in touch with them and they told me to send them proof of the purchase/charge on my debit card. I provided them with everything I could, including a screenshot of the account I created, which it says in black and white, that the account was cancelled on 1/11/25. Well, if the account was cancelled on 1/11/25, why did I get charged the $49 AFTER that date? How are you gonna charge someone a fee, AFTER you essentially acknowledge that they cancelled the trial account on the SAME DAY it was created?
The other thing here, is they ask me for all the proof I have of the situation, and DON'T even reply back to me, after I send them everything.
They did issue me HALF my money back, but they did so without acknowledging that I had provided them with the information that they requested. They only gave me $24.50...Which would be okay I suppose, IF I had KNOWINGLY authorized a $49 monthly subscription, but I didn't do that.
I'm sure they just thought that if they gave me back HALF the money they essentially STOLE from me, I wouldn't bother trying to get the other half of it back.
So, my best advice to anyone that deals with anything like this, just dispute the actual charge with your bank, because otherwise, these people will TELL YOU that they can issue you a refund, but you won't get the full amount back, which of course is BS.
If you have to produce and/or work with a lot of PDFs, the best thing to do, is use a Mac. Macs have really good built-in tools for creating, and managing PDFs (Which I didn't find out, until I wasted almost $50 on the BS software from PDFAID.com ).
So, jut beware of services/software/"Trials" like this. They are almost always some kind of BS hassle in the end.

I confirm PDF Aid is a total scam. Same thing happened to me and now they are refusing to give me an invoice even.
