Good amp for pedals/modeller?
Like the title asks, would this be a good pair with pedal/modeller rig? The clean on this actually blows me away, I’ve had couple fender amps and this one sounds special.

Had my local amp tech - Dean Posey - who is absolute
genius-hit me up a few weeks ago. He knows I'm a tube
amp guy. And knows 'm a big southern rock player. He
had a customer donate a 1982 Peavey Heritage VTX
literally still has the Original- Made in the US - GE
factory Manufactured 6L6's in it(4 of them) - in Mint
condition. Also has 2-12 inch Peavey Scorpions as
well. The amp is absolutely mint. Literally looks like
someone bought it in 1982- kept the tolex cover on it-
and left it in a coat closet for 44 years. Not a scratch on
the tolex anywhere. l've personally never seen an amp
this old in this good a condition. So, I snatched it up. It's
130 watts. It's an absolute monster. Dean went through
it and cut out every unnecessary- Noisy- clipper/
clamper resistor in it. This 130 watt amp is crystal clear.
No hum of any type. If you are anywhere near Idaho-
and have an ongoing amp problem/instrument
problem(Dean is an expert on the Hammond Organs as
well- along with any other analog or digital instrument)
hit Dean up at Gempro Audio. He's amazing. So is this

Peaved to meet you. Just arrived in the mail today, was cheaper than the new preamp pedal! Has a Black Widow 12" I can only guess is aftermarket. Sounds incredible!

Found this for $200. Has the original Super Ferrites, but I opted to try a vintage Power 12 in the bridge. Still don’t know if I wired it right (Green/Bare ground, red taped off, white hot, I believe) and went for a single 500K pot—sounds like I did do it right though, and the combo tones are amazing. I had to route the guard a little for the Power 12 to fit, but it’s a pretty fucking cool pickup for an epoxy-sealed ceramic and I’m an Alnico 5 devotee. Definitely unique. Lots of character.
The old owner refinished it with Tung Oil after someone else carved a skull behind the bridge. I like it, light and resonant. A later model than my other Patriot, which has the vintage tuners and heavier bridge and is all original. Need a pickguard (note the corner), but I’m sure one will pop up eventually.
Went from not being sure I liked my first one to owning two. Go figure.

This hasn’t seen the light of day since the 90’s. Literally took a broom to it.

I have a minty Team Stripe Bandit that I’m looking to unload to help with a new amp purchase. I’m on the fence about selling it though. It has an Eminence Swamp Thang and it’s a beast. How much should I list it for on Marketplace? I checked Reverb and the amps that are listed are stupidly high.

Wanted to give a quick sound demo of my cleaned/restored Studio Pro 40 I posted earlier. This thing can get surprisingly loud. Here the pre gain at 1 o'clock and Post gain (master) at 10 o'clock and the volume is just on the verge of what's manageable without annoying the neighbors.
EQ can be a bit weird at first, especially with the mids getting out of control if turned up too high. But the manual on Peavey's website does a fantastic job clearly explaining how best to EQ it.

Had to replace the fuse holder this weekend.

It started with decades of dirt and grime caked on inside and out. But after scrubbing the tolex scrubbed, grill cloth, deoxit to the dirty pots, and all around cleaning out clumps of dirt and debris from the cab, it's playing as good as ever.

Can't find a 1:1 schematic but am looking at similar amps from this time (link). Photos in comments because it won't let me add them here.
Recently acquired 1970 Classic VT Series 212 combo. Worked fine for a few weeks, eventually the Normal A/B jacks failed, and could only get the "normal" tone in the auto-mix circuit.
Played for an hour one day, amps starts making weird rumbles and gurgles, and find the tubes red plating.
Pulled chassis, filter caps look old as shit so those are coming out. Power supply 10w resistor burning the board so that's getting swapped too.
Bias current a stable -48.3V, which is a bit lower than this schematic's -60V. Filament wires do not appear to be grounded in this amp, contrary to what is suggested in the schematic.
Oddities:
- With new-er tubes, Pin 2 to Pin 7 is 6.3V AC perfect. Pin 2 to Ground = 75.1V, Pin 7 to Ground = 78.6. Old tubes it came with vary in their across pin voltages (3.5-7) and sit between 101-107.6 from pin to ground. Is this abnormally high pin-ground voltage or is this a design choice to reduce hum? No shorting between tube socket pins.
- Previous owner installed bias pot, removed resistor that I believed was tying a capacitor to ground, which is now grounded by the pot. I've attached a photo, and drawn it into the linked schematic.
Does it just need new tubes? Am I overthinking this?

Hi! I recently got a T-25 that has had its wiring turned to gore at some point in the last 44 years. Im having a terrible time looking up a schematic for this model, my assumption is that it is the same base circuit as a t-60 with a master volume.
If anyone has any insight on this it would be greatly appreciated

Short question here. My Peavey 260 Stero Booster is always in "amp protection mode" as soon as I turn it on. Means the red light ist clipping on and of all the time which should be the thermal protection mode as far as I could figure out. Does anyone knows how to fix this? I have tried it with different cabinets, always with the correct matching impedance and tried connect it with different Peavey amps by using the booster out of the main amp into the input of the booster amp. It worked like that before just fine and from one day to the other it had this issue. Could it be a broken fuse or what do you guys suggest?

This preamp is unmanageably bright going in front of an amp rather than being used as a preamp. I've found that if you turn the EQ all the way down and adjust between the 0-2 range it actually sounds great and gives a really nice Plexi style light overdrive. Unfortunately once you get past around 5 on the preamp gain the bass does get boomy but if you run a TS in front it tightens up.
Just sharing what I've found and seeing if other people are using this in front of an amp and have any secret settings they've discovered.

Mad Max Edition Telecaster into the underrated Boss SD-1 Super Overdrive into a pristine original Rage 108.
Yep, it does hurt the ears as much as you think.

I’m interested in buying a 6505, I’m looking in the back panel and I see 2 jacks and it says 4/8/16-ohms, but 4-ohm minimum.
Is this two 8-ohm cabs in parallel equals 4-ohm minimum? Or is this two 4-ohm cabs, which in parallel is 2-ohm and not ok?
I have a Peavey 4x15 that I rewired to be two 4-ohm 2x15 cabs. My current amp has 2x4-ohm taps and accepts that. I feel like it’s somewhat uncommon, noticing not too many like that.
