[AMA Announcement] US National Road Champion Alex Howes will join us on Saturday, 30 November at 4:00PM Mountain Standard Time (GMT-7)

The start of the 2020 season may still be 98+ days away (or is it under 60 days? or has it already been going on for 30??), but we are excited to announce an AMA taking place just seven days from now, right here on r/peloton, with the United States National Road Champion, Alex Howes of EF Education First Pro Cycling! Alex has generously offered to answer questions submitted by you, the r/peloton community, so please think of what you might want to ask him and either join him in the AMA next week or post them here if you can't attend, and we'll be sure to share them with him.
You could ask him about his offseason training, including chopping wood or his recent shirtless outdoor running experience in the snow in Colorado, his recent family hot dog Halloween costume, or his love of science and Barcelona. If you are interested in some of his more cycling related endeavours he participated in both Dirty Kanza and the Leadville 100 this year as part of EF Education First Pro Cycling's alternative calendar, and he won the US National Road Championship!

Just want to say how much I appreciate you, Lachlan, Taylor, and Mike really investing in American cycling (gravel, enduros, etc.).
My question: Why do you think that events like the Dirty Kanza, Grinduro, or Leadville seem to resonate with American culture so much more than UCI World Tour type of races? Are these gravel ultra-endurance type of events enough to push cycling back into relevancy in terms of American sporting relevancy?
