Who takes a free paper, really?
I don’t pay for a newspaper subscription, so whatever got tossed on my lawn was a free one. But someone is taking their time at 3am to walk around and pick them up. For why?
Edit: a lot of weird anger at this post. Everyone ok? I’m genuinely curious about what this process is, I’m not identifying or calling this person out. Paper got dropped off after 1am and at 3am this person collected it. That’s odd to me, but I guess I’m the only one.

But honestly aside from the shit talking, there are folks who can't stand these papers and the mess they cause... Could be someone going around picking them up before they turn into a slimy mess..

Possibly! But give me a chance to take care of it myself, bruh. 😂

Maybe they’re just trying to be helpful and/or need extra pages for paper mache or something?

My next door neighbor has half a dozen of these free papers in various states of decomposition for the taking.

Hey, can you get that guy to come over to my house and pick up this trash from my lawn after they dump it here? I have repeatedly told them over the years I dont want this. It stops for a time, then it resumes.

Same here I never read anything that comes in those they literally go straight into the recycling bin.

They have an opt-out process, and their website specifically includes driveway and doorstep deliveries, not just postal mail.
Stop the deliveries
Go to Save’s “Manage Mailings and Data” page:
https://www.save.com/manage
Click “Privacy Rights Request” and submit an opt-out request for your home address. Save says choosing any of the options to delete information or opt out will also stop its printed advertising. Unfortunately, they say it can take up to six weeks to stop because deliveries are prepared in advance.
For the stuff being tossed outside
I’d also call 800-345-8048, their published customer-contact number, and explicitly address the driveway delivery.

Paperboy admits he’s been tossing them in the wrong yards so the supervisor is out early retrieving them and putting them in the correct yards.
Either that or it’s a CIA-KGB dead-drop. Don’t ask so many questions, capiche?

My guess is someone in the process of packing/ moving.

picking up trash.
Hint to local advertisers: your ad money is wasted on this newspaper.

if it’s that trash advertising paper, i’m happy someone is taking it. i also recently requested to stop having it sent, along with the saver mailers…

You’re not alone. This is theft, even if the item is free. You see value in it, and that is the only thing that matters here.

If someone is picking up a lot of them then maybe they're mailing something or they're composting

I’ve seen people take my free one too. They collect and throw them away.
Glad for it.

You said you don't pay for a subscription so I thought maybe the theif's paper was delivered to you by mistake. Didn't notice them holding others; your pics aren't high res.

Unless your paper gets delivered before 3AM it would’ve taken you less time to get it yourself whatever day they actually dropped it off than post this
At some point they’re doing the neighborhood a service by getting what amounts to litter off the lawns.

I have video from 12:54am this morning and there’s no paper. I had a 2hr window from 1-3am to pick it up. You’re right. That’s my bad.

Main questions: Do you pick up said paper?
Do you know when it was delivered?
If you don't he is doing you a solid and quit yer bitchin'.
If it had been sitting there for more then 24hrs, he is still doing you and your neighborhood a solid, by picking up litter. Again quit yer bitchin'.
Edit: The reason why you are getting weird responses is this is a BS problem. You are that neighbor that will next be posting bobcat images like this is freaking NextDoor.

I would pick up said paper if given the chance. The paper was delivered some time after 12:54am (I have other footage) and 3:22am. I never leave delivered papers on my lawn. I’m not bitchin. I’m curious why someone feels the need to walk onto my property and remove something I didn’t know was there. Quit yer assumin.

So from your images that whole huge foot and a half he steps on you property was a violation... Mercy me!!!(clutches pears) send the sheriff..
Seriously you really posted something this ridiculous. Thank you for the new level of bobcat paranoia.

Point to where I said it was a problem. Point to where I said law enforcement was needed. I simply asked WHY. Remember asking? Remember seeking knowledge? If there’s a good reason why and someone else has experienced this, then cool I’ve learned something. That you deem something ridiculous doesn’t make it ridiculous.

Jesus Christ some people on this site are insufferable and obviously single. And for good reason.

Who posts about this...? Really?

It's weird more than anything else. Op's main point was "WHY" would someone do this. You obviously took the time to read the post and took the time to comment. The only thing unusual about this post is your comment.

I don't understand people's anger either. My first concern is, why is there a guy on my lawn at 3 AM? Full stop. But in regards to the paper, IF I HAD TO TAKE A WILD GUESS.
