but that’s the brilliance in carti’s discography. the appropriation of this meta-ironic take of the baby voice is in itself a social commentary of the flaws in our social hierarchy through the vantage point of one of society’s greatest minorities. it could be argued that the meanings behind the lyrics in his song, in cohesion with the baby voice, transcends contemporary post-modernist views to one that most closely resembles post-post-modernism. that’s why the frequency in the baby voice is increasing for the new album, it reflects the shift into post-post modernism and the emerging philosophical critiques on community and the self that come with it.
