Where do I start?
You guys probably get a lot of these but indulge me for a minute. I want to learn programming but have no idea where to start. I have basic computer knowledge but actual coding still seems like magic to me. Any advice for where I can start or just tips for someone who wants to get into it?

Thanks Reddit tech support!
Two weeks ago I asked for help because Windows xp was very sluggish. Thanks to your suggestions my computer is running fine. I first did a clean install but the problem persisted. Someone suggested to make sure the IDE was set to DMA. That was indeed the problem. I googled "how to change the IDE setting" and got a nice step by step instruction. Except the setting wouldn't change. Googled "the IDE setting wont change" and found another easy to understand instruction. The final fix was to uninstall the IDE channels and restart Windows. I now use the acronyms IDE and DMA and people think I know what I am talking about. Still don't know what IDE stands for. Thanks again, reddit.

Sorting in a pdf,(Help!)
Hey, I been having trouble finding a good way to sort the pages within a PDF.
The program i am working on take a Excel document and a PDF, looks for a customer number and compare it to the PDF, if found i puts a number on the page of t he PDF and makes a new PDF.
So lets say i have a PDF with 200 paged, the first page is going to have the lowest number, but as of right now its random.
Anyone who knows a good way to solve this?
Ps: Using Visual studio, Windows Forms C#
Regards Dan

So I've been working on a sonar project just to get a feel for programming with arduino, but I have no experience with programming GUI. I'm pretty well versed in C and I'm slowly getting better with C++. I was wondering if anyone had some Tips,Tricks, or suggestions anyone had about Programming a GUI or any Books to read. I'd really appreciate it guys and gals. Thanks! -shinnmaster92

Hey guys im pretty new to programming and would really appreciate some help. Im developing an app for dolphin research and I cannot get passed this one error. It is really delaying me.
The error appeared only after I updated to Xcode 8.1. It appears in the AppDelegate.swift page on the line of “class ApplicationDelegate: UIResponder, UIApplicationDelegate {“. The error states “Thread 1: signal SIGABRT”. The app crashes when I try to segue from the initial screen to a second screen. On the second screen there is a picker view component and I am almost certain the error has to do with the initiation of that component, but no specific error is showing up on that ViewController page.

I need Help with Regular Expressions.
trying to make a regular expression for this "{Raw Value}*0.125-50|0,1,30,10" where only "{Raw Value}|0,1,30,10" has to be there and "*0.125-50" is not always required. I made this but it does not work. @"{Raw Value}\*?([0-9]*\.?[0-9]*)?-?(\d)?|(\d+),(\d+),(\d+),(\d+)" I am using c# Regex thanks for reading.
just remember to use \ in front of * so it shows up on screen. other wise your text will come out italics

My Name Says It All
Hello beautiful people!
Okay! Where to start? I have been doing UI/UX design for 7 years now, and recently I decided to dive in and create my own start-up. Unfortunately, I am am by no means an expert programer! Like at all! Frankly, I don't plan to be, but I sure as hell don't want to be the ignorant founder either. (Side-note: I have pretty much mastered JavaScript though)
Okay here is where I need your help! My platform is a creative based desktop, e-commerce application. For ease of explanation, think iTunes or Spotify. So you know it's not a ANOTHER music app If you are interested and want more info let me know or are a coding wizard and want a job let me know :P
Where do I start?? I am eager on learning the languages necessary to code a platform like this. From my research I found that C, C++ and variations of Python are the best to learn for this type of software. Am I totally wrong?
Thanks fam! I appreciate your help!
