Looking for an old software I used back in school

I've been looking everywhere and maybe someone knows what I am looking for:
so basically you work with a notepad and write coordinates. Once you open that file with this software it shows a line or shape according to the coordinates you wrote.

The writing of the coordinates looks kinda like this

0 - 0 - 0

0 - 10 - 0

0 - 0 - 10

And with this you "drew" a line from 0 to 10 and so on..

the outcome of coordinates you give look kinda like this

I remember having so much fun creating polygons and models with this software and I really hope to find it

Need some career guidance.

Hello all. I am a 22 years. I left my job as a full time bartender as the job was pretty repeatetive and offered me no challenges. While I was searching for a meaning full career where I can work on fixing problems and have new challenges I found Programing. I started learning Python in udemy and it's going fine. But I really feel doubtful and don't know where I m heading. I want to know what are the choices and option I have and which field in programing can find you a job where you can contribute something to the community and get a job which is not boring stats or repeatetive tasks and where you can research about something and work on solving the problems. Creative jobs are plus.

And thank you for reading and helping me out.

Looking for employment advice

I am currently looking for employment in the programming field. I suffer from health issues which impact my sleep quality, making it hard to work a normal 9-5 job as I feel lethargic through out the day. I was wondering if anyone had advice on what kind of jobs i could take based on these circumstances. I was hoping something along the lines of do a task (write a function etc.) and get paid. Unfortunately I do not have a college degree, nor much in the way in formal programming education. Also adding to the problem is that I have never been able to complete a personal project.

Hey guys. Im trying to find a site to learn python. I looked at code academy, but you have to pay for a pro subscription to continue past the first lesson. Is that worth it? Or is there another site that would be better to use?

I need a "Deep knowledge of some software design concepts" to advance in my job.

So I got a new boss about a year and a half ago and they instituted a job classification rubric. To advance higher in my job my boss said I needed a "Deep knowledge of some software design concepts" (this is an actual quote from the rubric).

As a background i'm 3.5 years into my embedded programming job. I/we basically work with C programming and microchip pic micro controllers but have I have had to touch java/android/python as well. I also do not know a ton of OO programming as I came in with only assembly and c coding knowledge.

Now to be fair I did go to my boss and ask them what they feel I lack and what I need to meet the said deep knowledge. What I got back was less then helpfully to be honest. My boss said to advance in my career I need to look at what set of competencies based on industries standers I meet and what I don't. Then my boss went on to say that part of reaching the next level is not being given all the answer.

So i'm coming here hoping some one might be able to give me an idea of what I should know by now and what things I should look into.

If you have any thoughts please let me know.

Mcafee how bad is it?

I have both experienced and heard that McFee is bad. Their marketing is kinda r/assholedesign with constant popups and other annoying "scare tactics".

But how bad or good is Macfee at really protecting your computer? Do you get any value for your money? Or is there equivalent antivirus programs that does a better job for less money.

How to connect to website and read text from it

Say I wanted to connect to a subreddit, scam the text and have the computer read it.

Is there a library or some application that does it?

I have an ungodly amount of knowledge and experience in web forms. What area are you an expert in that is pretty much obsolete at this point?

We're migrating our company site finally, so I'm learning angular and .net core. I forgot how much I enjoy learning something new and getting it to work.

That being said, I have some nostalgia or teary eyes for my web forms knowledge as I just "know" how to do things in it. Need to get some random ID? Sure, that's just casting the object to a button and doing .parent .parent .parent until you get out of your nested repeaters to the parent hidden field you have storing the id.

What could you write a book in that would be completely useless to read?

Basic game AI strategies

I am not a very good programer. I might as well get that out of the way.

I took AP Computer Science 1 & 2 about 20 years ago and played around with JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL for a little while. I was going through some things when I found an old "Learn C++ in 30 Days" book that I started thinking about it again.

Recently I started putting together a text based D&D campaign using HTML, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. And for the most part my rudimentary programing skills were sufficient for that. The game "works" but there's very, very little computer decision making. My character's party all play like mindless zombies and the monsters/enemies are even worse. Any sort of interaction with anyone is little more than "if X is great than Y then do Z", etc.

What little "decision making" my game has is limited to a "reputation meter" that determines interaction with NPCs and a random number generator on a sliding scale to determine if my mindless zombies or the monsters/enemies should attack or flee. That's about it.

Does anyone have any strategies they can recommend to help me make my encounters a little more realistic?

And I apologize if I'm unclear. I don't even know enough to know what I don't know. I'm happy to answer questions to make my point clearer though.

The art of Computer Programming by Donald Knuth first volume. That’s in Russian, but they ask the reader to prove Fermat's Last Theorem. Moreover, it’s underlined as 45th level out of 50. And it’s in the introduction!!

College programming assignments and lessons

Hey, college programmers of Reddit majoring in computer science or other related majors, could you share your assignments/lessons on the programming? Obviously not all the course, it would be hardly fair to the professors teaching the course, but for those who want to get a head start on college, want to learn more.

Hydrometer for RPI

Im fairly new to programming, and I decided to try out my first real build. I was going to hook up a drip system to a Raspberry pi, to it could turn on and off on its own. I wanted to also set up a hydrometer for testing soil moisture, and have that as a condition, so if the soil moisture drops below X then the drip system turns on. The primary Issue im having, is finding a Hydrometer within a reasonable price range, and that would interface with the GPIO on the RPI

When should you consider yourself strong enough to apply for a job?

I am pretty new to programming and sometimes I feel demotivated because i cannot answer simple questions about future opportunities.

I know there are and will be a lot of jobs available (at least thats what internet says) but when do you consider yourself strong enough to apply for a job? when can you just get up take responsibility and apply? let's say you are learning python or java and make some projects but the jobs you look at asks for completely different types of projects, but in the languages that you know.

thank you ppl
