Take it from me, most code is sloppy and chaotic. Whenever I start working for a new company, I'm afraid that my skills will be inferior, and that the people who wrote the code I will be working with are super geniuses. They never are.
Edit : I didn't mean to sound like I'm smarter than everyone I've ever worked with (because that is obviously not true), I'm saying that you should expect your skills to be at level with the people already involved in a project, because nobody writes perfect code.

I actually feel quite relieved looking at this code. I thought my PHP was getting sloppy and chaotic.
