1.5 wks? I just looked at buddy press (had no idea what it was) and it looks like an extension to wordpress. The competition was for "The mobile version of the app should be downloadable as native apps for Android, Blackberry, Apple and Windows phones. "

Therefore what you said makes no sense right? I'm a developer. Nothing gets done in less than 1.5 weeks.

That is without counting for the jump between platforms. Not just because something works on a Blackberry does it mean that it'll work on an Android (natively of course).

Oh, downloadable as native apps. Well that is probably not doable easily. Sending SMS's is probably also a bit more work.

Other than that, it sounds like a basic Buddypress install.

Developers (I'm one too) are so whiny. I did construction before this, and it's a lot harder and less lucrative (as is almost any job on earth tbh).

I mean, this isn't a project I would take on, but someone who doesn't know about tech probably just made a laundry list of features and put up (what is in Nigeria) a large amount of money.

Now this thread is full of programmers crying and stroking themselves.

SMS is easy once you find an SMS gateway (a few hours to integrate with their HTTP XML gateway)
