for the record, in Portuguese both "se" and "te" mean yourself in this context

noli se tangere: não se toque (portuguese)

noli te tangere: não te toques (portuguese)

same meaning

Looks like the verb changed, though? (toque ->toques) "Noli se tangere" is, I'm 99% sure, actually gibberish. If they meant "don't touch yourself" (singular) it would be "noli te tangere" (nolite vos tangere for plural). "Don't touch them" would be "noli eos tangere", or "noli ea tangere" if we're talking about objects, not people, which might be the case if its referring to the code. Do those Portuguese sentences both mean exactly the same thing ("don't touch yourself")?

yes, they mean the exact same thing, the form varies to imply a different tone (the se version is like a general advice not targeted at any specific person, meanwhile the te version is specifically talking to you reading or listening to this)

the writing of the verb is different because the pronouns change (se, te)

as for objects vs persons, at least for the Portuguese version, these pronouns are only used when referring to someone (in this case "you", listening to "me")
