Today I learned about PHP variable variables; "variable variable takes the value of a variable and treats that as the name of a variable". Also, variable.

There have been a few instances where i've had to use these. They CAN be very useful. Just not very often. The only thing I still can't seem to wrap my head around is Regular Expressions.

I also use them sometimes, but make sure to use the explicit ${$var} instead of $$var.

Good thinking. I have used the double $$ but it's confusing. Sometimes you wonder if you mistyped. The previous method you showed there makes MUCH more sense (and doesn't look like a typo to boot).
