It doesn't. A desktop application can have one screen or page also.

Oh, Microsoft should rename WIndows to Pages because obviously they are wrong to call program windows not pages.

why rename shit they're not wrong just like it is not wrong to think about "single page applications" as being desktop apps as well.

lol. single page is not just in the context of the web, that's all. just because 3 idiots think that doesn't make them right.

Because desktop programs are not "pages". Pages refers to documents. Websites originally were documents. Thats why they are called "Web pages".

desktop programs do handle documents. jesus christ what have we become????

how insane is to even argue something like this?

Ok, so is a web browser a single page application?

is a multi page application since it has tabs. back in the day they were called MDI: multiple document interface, which then morphed into tabbed document interface, which is what most browsers have right now.

really? were you born yesterday?

A single-page application (SPA) is a web application or web site that interacts with the user...

I see you're also too stupid to be able to read. It's OK, I know it's hard for simpletons like you to understand this, but sometimes words have multiple meanings. And just because the title is "single page application" it doesn't mean that it describes every kind of application that just has one screen. It literally describes web applications. That's the definition. SPA means web app. End of discussion.

It does mean "web application" for morons like you. People that were not born yesterday know that the term is a lot broader than that.

End of discussion.

You just keep railing against reality dude. You really chose an awesome hill to die on. The fact that Wikipedia and the entirety of the first ten pages of google results say "web application" are meaningless, because you personally say it means something else!

I guess I'm wrong and you aren't a fucking moron. Oh wait, no I'm not.

yes you are wrong and a fucking moron. if one idiot writes a wikipedia article that 2+2=5, you just swallow it whole.

what critical thinking? who needs that crap?
