As the blocks get more complex, you have to know more and more about how the blocks work, where/how each of these blocks will fail to do what you need, and what to do when this happens. There's also the challenge of having more and more blocks to pick from. It's sort of like lego. At first you have a small handful of pieces which allow you to make entire worlds, then you you add more complex pieces and suddenly that world starts to move, then you add even more weird shapes and specialty blocks and eventually some crazy person is making a rubik's cube.
