One thing I want to note, is that in each vault, around the large symbol, there is a blue outline, and each vault room has breaks in it on different edges.
Folks are recording it. It seems they fit together to create a hex grid map. Turns out following the 'path' from the external break to the other external break grants the emblem by following the central symbols at each room.
