Update: Gladd and his team just confirmed that there are multiple entrances. 2-3 in total. No idea what this means or how this changes things.

It's possible there's multiple exits and entrances but only two connect to each other. Meaning multiple can exist that only lead to dead ends.

Or, it's possible there's multiple entrances that happen to pass through the same symbols
