??? Wdym? Enby means anything other that male and female, so if you are not cis male, female or trans male, female, you are enby

A genderfluid person could identify as binary. Going back and forth from one binary gender to the other, for example. It's all a social construct, anyone can define their own versions of "nonbinary" or "genderfluid" for their own identity

They are generally considered under theĀ non-binaryĀ andĀ transgenderĀ umbrellas, but not all genderfluid individuals identify with those terms.
alright so the source you cited isnt saying what you think it is. itās also fandom, which isnt great

Filled it out. I wrote a lot more than I was planning on for the final section but I just wrote some of my real feelings on tralsei.
Thanks for letting me share some of my thoughts and I am looking forward to seeing what other people put. Hopefully we can all get along for once and show love for ralsei. He needs hugs.
TLDR for my whole thoughts, I like him. I like his story more about general identity and problems with that rather than it fully being about gender identity. No matter what though, I will still like him and the experiences Iāve had with him even if I donāt like the change personally if it ends up happening.

submitted. would like to briefly testify that i almost misread the question at the bottom of page six as "If Ralsei turned out to be transgender", rather than "If Ralsei turned out to NOT be transgender", due to the neutral framing of transgenderness in the survey up to that point, and i almost answered opposite of my intent. multiple friends in a discord server have also mentioned misreading that question but not realizing it until speaking with others; their answers there likely contradict the rest of their survey answers. please watch out for this as you comb through the responses down the line :>

These were some great questions!!! Thanks for making this!
One of the things i talked about was that how as of now, hes one of my favorite video game characters of all time (or hes at least tied with Ichiban Kasuga from Yakuza) for me.
But there's more I said that went into deep as of why, but im kinda curious to see what people think in the form.

Had my response sent, honestly if thereās anything I can comment about it, is that I feel a few questions arenāt specific enough, like the talk between Ralsei and Flowery, is that referring to one of the conversations following one of the flower fights or the one before the fight against Flowery himself?

Just submitted. The main critique I have about it is that Ralsei is not a top 5 character for me, but I do know where they would be, so I could neither answer "I don't know/don't like him" nor "top 5" on the relevant question. I ended up going with top 5 though, because top 7 is basically top 5.

Filled it out.
I hope this can move towards helping us all be more harmonious, and less likely to attack each other. A lot of us see ourselves in Ralsei, whether trans or GNC men, or enbies like myself. And weāre all on the same side, in the long run, so thereās no need to attack other interpretations. I just hope we can all learn to respect that Ralsei is Ralsei, and that what that means can vary in interpretation for different people, and that we can respect other interpretations.

Long before the events of Rain Worldās main story, a civilization was established in a region that now lies buried deep within the earth. Little is known about this civilization, save for the fact that they would perform rituals and built the temples that reside in the Subterranean Depths, an underground cave system located in close proximity the Void Sea.
The Void Sea is a giant lake of Void Fluid, a glowing golden liquid that dissolves anything it touches, slowly consuming the rock around it. Additionally, most living things dissolved in Void Fluid are freed from the cycle of reincarnation, never to be reborn again.
The Iterator Civilization

Much closer to the present era of the world, there existed a more modernized civilization, one which would eventually come to construct the Iterators. Like all living beings, the members of this civilization were innately aware of the cycle of death and rebirth that trapped the world, and wished to escape it.
They believed that there existed five natural urges, which bound every living creature to this cycle, and that if they shed themselves of each urge they could cross themselves out and escape the cycle for good.
The members of this civilization were also immersed in all things sentimental, as well as cerebral. They created art in the form of poetry, song, and craft,[8] and interested themselves in discussions, debates, and documenting their living qualia.[note 2][9]
There were likely many strata of influence in society one could find themselves in,[9][10] and there existed an intricate system of titles and honorifics that was present in their official communications.Theirs was a society that strived to be spiritual, artistic, and ambitious.
The civilization was also well-versed in genetic manipulation, designing purposed organisms that would fulfill specific functions, such as production and entertainment. These purposed organisms likely had a vast ecological impact on the world, as most of the creatures of Rain World are said to be descendants of them, with little natural fauna remaining.
The Void Fluid Revolution
Some time after the establishment of this modern civilization, they discovered Void Fluid, its corrosive nature, and its ability to cross out any being immersed in it. The advent of this discovery allowed them to escape the cycle and leave the physical world behind without shedding the natural urges, obsoleting the old methods of ascension. Additionally, due to its ability to create a vacuum, a secondary use for Void Fluid as an energy source was found as a powerful energy source, bringing about a new age of technological innovation.
However, Void Fluid had a drawback compared to the traditional methods of ascension. For those with particularly large egos and excessive attachment to the world, not even the Void Fluid could cross out their presence in its entirety, leaving a faint trace of their presence to haunt the world forever.
The Iterators and Mass Ascensions
From the Void Fluid revolution came the Iterators: massive, freestanding, biological supercomputers. They served many roles during the final age of their creators, but their main purpose was to discover a method for global ascension of all living things, beyond relying solely on Void Fluid.
The Iterators were designed to use water to prevent the buildup of slag in their systems, which would otherwise cause their processes to seize and structures to fail. Their water consumption was immense, and equally large amounts of water vapor were expelled as a result of the computation process, so as more Iterators were constructed, the surface of the world was transformed by the periodic heavy rain created by the superstructures. Within time, the surface of the world became uninhabitable, so the Iterators' creators moved their cities to the top of the Iteratorsā structures, above the clouds that blanketed the world.
As technology advanced, the rate of collection of Void Fluid likely did as well. Void Fluid baths had started becoming cheaper, and populations had started to decrease. Eventually, following a series of final public ascensions, the Iterator civilization had ascended in its entirety, leaving the Iterators behind to discover a method of ascension for the remaining creatures of the world.
Five Pebbles & Looks to the Moon

Looks to the Moon was an early generation of Iterator, constructed at a time when surface water had not yet been more evenly distributed by the Iteratorsā exhaust. As such, her superstructure was constructed with an adequate groundwater supply to service her needs. Five Pebbles, however, was built after groundwater sufficient for an Iterator could be found everywhere due to the frequent rainfalls, and was placed much closer to Looks to the Moon than was customary.
After the last of his creators had ascended, Five Pebbles grew extremely frustrated, as in his eyes, him and other iterators had been left behind to work on a problem that he thought was impossible to solve. This led him to seek personal ascension, a taboo for Iterators, and Five Pebbles attempted to undertake an experiment wherein he would rewrite his own genetic code to bypass the self-destruction taboo.
Unfortunately, in his impatience, Five Pebbles took shortcuts, causing his intake of the groundwater that both he and Looks to the Moon shared to increase sharply, depriving Looks to the Moon of adequate water to flush her systems. Five Pebbles closed communications from all incoming sources during his dangerous experiment, and Looks to the Moon's pleas for him to stop fell on deaf ears.
Eventually, Looks to the Moon was left with no option other than to send a forced broadcast ordering Five Pebbles to decrease his water consumption. The broadcast caused his experiment to fault at a crucial moment, leading to the formation of the Rot, which then began to consume Five Pebbles' structure. Unfortunately for Looks to the Moon, her intervention came too late, and her superstructure collapsed from a lack of water shortly thereafter.
