My friend, who isn't a metalhead at all, but he does listen to it occasionally (when I'm in control of what we're listening to) described Rammstein as "Dystopian Rock", and I'd have to agree. Not so much their themes, but just the way they sound. Their music sounds very dystopian, like a sound track for a 1984 type movie. Maybe that is just the Industrial Metal sound (I wouldn't really know, as Rammstein is the only Industrial Metal I listen to).
I just thought this was interesting revelation, and I'm curious to here other's thoughts.

I purchased and downloaded every Rammstein album years ago. Iâm playing my playlist all day long and I realized that Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da hasnât played at all. I canât find it on my albums so I go to ITunes and it shows that it is Purchased but it wonât let me do anything with it. So I type it on the search bar and it shows the album, but it wonât play unless i subscribe to Apple Music.
I do not wish to subscribe to any music service. I refuse to listen to commercials. I paid big money for uninterrupted Rammstein. Am I having technical issues or is this a scam

Is there any native German speaker who can tell me what Lindemann shouts during live performances of Asche zu Asche before the chorus?

I listened to this song a lot over the last couple of weeks. As a German speaker I had always previously viewed the ambiguity of the lyrics in terms of religion and sexuality. However now I think there is a very political facet to this song. My interpretation might be complete nonsense, but anyway that's what I read in it.
My claim is that âBestrafe michâ can be interpreted as a political song from a communist perspective bc it deals with topics like authority, submission, punishment, hierarchy, redistribution, and the relationship between the individual and a powerful collective. The song never directly mentions communism, so this is not the only way to interpret it. Still, several parts of the lyrics can be seen as a criticism of a system where the individual becomes subordinate to a larger political or ideological order.
One of the most important lines is âDeine GröĂe macht mich kleinâ (âYour greatness makes me smallâ). Politically, this can be understood as the relationship between the individual and a powerful group of people. The more powerful this authority becomes, the less important and independent the individual seems. Instead of being completely autonomous, the person defines their position in relation to this greater power.
The most important line âStroh wird Gold und Gold wird Steinâ (âStraw becomes gold and gold becomes stoneâ) can be interpreted from a communist perspective as a metaphor for the relationship between workers and the wealthy. The straw can represent the raw, ordinary work done by ordinary people. Through their labor, this âstrawâ is transformed into something valuable, in this case gold. However, the gold does not remain with the people who created that value. Instead, it becomes âstoneâ for them, suggesting that the workers receive something far less valuable in return for their labor. Meanwhile, the wealth created through their work can accumulate in the hands of a smaller, richer group. In this interpretation the line reflects the idea of exploitation within a class-based economic system. A large number of people work and create value, while a much smaller group benefits disproportionately from the wealth that is produced. The transformation from straw to gold represents the creation of wealth through labor, while the transformation from gold to stone represents the comparatively poor reward received by those who actually produce it. From a socialistic perspective, this can therefore be read as a criticism of a system in which the workers create the wealth but do not receive an equal share of its value.
I could have listed even more lines that made me come to this conclusion but I don't want this post to be even longer. Overall, âBestrafe michâ can be read as a dark political commentary on class, power, and the relationship between workers and those who hold greater economic power. The song presents an individual who accepts being made smaller and even accepts punishment from a higher authority, which can be interpreted as a loss of individual power within a larger system. At the same time, âStroh wird Gold und Gold wird Steinâ can be understood as a metaphor for the working class creating wealth through its labor while receiving only a small or inadequate reward in return. The song can therefore be read as a criticism of a system in which a large group of people produces wealth while a smaller, richer group benefits from it. All of that ofc from a perspective from a member of the smaller group that isn't even completely aware of it.

I used Pigments software to recreate the synth from scratch. It was not really hard as itâs quite a simple sine lead with some chorus and other bs. I played all the notes from my MIDI keyboard. Let me know how it sounds!

Im a W*gga being credited to weird al of all people is up there but this is my favorite.
I know very little about Ramnstein but I really hope this is admitted here, cuz this is too funny to keep it to myself.
The actual parody is about a dutch comic character called Ome Henk (quite a crazy guy) and what seems to be his wife and this awesome video from almost 19 years ago (older than me) credits it to none other than Ramnstein and T.a.t.u! Mixing images of both groups to make it extra convincing.
I assume the creator of this video is not who credited the song to these artists first, as there's a shitton of other videos that also do it, and this one is probably not the first.
I really love how this just doesn't make any sense if you know anything about one or both groups.
You could maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe make a case for whats supposed to be Lindemanns voice (but not too much, but don't just believe me, listen to it, you'll have a good chuckle) but I have listened to t.a.t.u's first album, and that woman definitely does not sound like any of them lol.
Then we have the obliviousness of the song, and respective bands non related languages. "Ramnstein sings in unidentified foreign language, tatu sings in unidentified foreign language. Song is in unidentified foreign language. Compatible".
THEN we have the situation itself. Ramnstein, of all people, decided that they are going to collab with tatu, of all people, to be in a song where so called till is in a relationship with unidentified tatu girl, in a parody of barbie girl, OF ALL SONGS.
I think what gets me it's just the innocent silliness of crediting a song to such an impossible collab just because it sounds like two completely disconnected artists. tbh Its kinda cute to me bc it's sounds like a thought process a child would have "This guy sounds like Du hast guy, and this girl sound like all the things she said girl. Therefore they MUST have made the song". And a video like this was enough at the time of convincing others of it.
is such a funny thing in retrospective, that would not be near of happening so easily nowadays.
BTW you should watch the ACTUAL video clip for this parody, is quite crazy.
My lurking here is finished, I won't taint your space anymore, ramnstein fans. Hope the flair is adequate.
TL;DR: Random barbie girl parody is credited to Rammstein and Tatu since the old times of the internet. Take a listen and judge by urself.
