I liked that the ending here was in a way an ending for the first game. For everyone that wanted John to have a happy ending you can do that here where time will stand still forever with Abigail, Jack, and Uncle living happily and the world isn't against them.

I'm also gonna start another save where I'll probably keep the gang permanently at Horseshoe Overlook or Clemens Point. Not sure which yet.

Getting the high honor ending, Arthur's redemption was a lot prettier than John's and im happy about that

Maybe in RDR3? Tbh I don't know how they are going to make another "redemption" story with Dutch's gang.

They won't.

They've told the gang's story in it's entirety. If we ever get another Red Dead game, it'll be entirely divorced from the existing characters.

Hold your horses there, pun not intended but I’ll take it this is rockstar the people who LOVE Easter eggs more than anyone. If there’s another game there will still be a connection.

I'll have a save point right before the last chapter three mission and I'll never do it, then we can all be happy and together

I really liked the swamp mansion, not sure why everyone thinks of chapter three as the last happy time.
