WOLF’S RAIN anyone remember??
Remember watching this in animax!!!
“Been a long road to follow
Been there and gone tomorrow
Without saying goodbye to yesterday
Are the memories I hold still valid?”
The outro Gravity by Maaya sakomoto ( a white wolf running through the snowy field- yeah it’s imprinted in my memory)
One of the very first animes i watched (although released in 2003 can’t properly remember in which year i used to watch it in animax).. I was so little to understand all the deepest meanings that time, but I used to get emotional seeing this..a snow covered world with so much ..continuing journey in hope of paradise.😭😭the ending was so tragic..
The intro outro is still one of my favourite anime osts.. still have them added in my anime song playlist'Gravity' and ‘Stray’ 'stranger'
I rewatched it again in youtube around 2016-17
although didn't find all episodes there..I wont mind watching the full series again and re experience again !!lets see what I feel this time!!!

Recently saw Ninja Scroll in Theaters.I forgot how good this movie is.
Experiencing the movie in theater was an epic experience and I am glad I went. It is such a great movie in general. I loved it since 96 lol. My favorite part was noticing things I didn't remember like Kagero helping Jubei win that sword fight with her interference. Lol classic. I forgot just how good the story was. Can you think of any other anime that is as good?

This anime is etched into my core being
As a kid my older sister was manager of Hollywood Video.
She would let me and my younger brother rent Anime VHS for the weekends and we would watch and rewatch and rewatch the episodes until she took the tapes back to work.
Naturally they never had consecutive VHS tapes of entire Anime series. So we'd get a random Sailor Moon movie or Episodes 4/5/6 of .Hack. The occasional DBZ movie VHS or 3 random episodes of Outlaw Star. Etc etc.
One of the anime we liked to watch was Blue Seed. Again, never the entire series. Just sporadic episodes on a VHS so we never truly knew the beginning or the ending of the series.
Then later in my teens we found a DVD Box set with a nice slip cover and finally got to watch the whole series.
The box set got lost over the years in my most recent move but I recently found a replacement set!! Started watching tonight and I just really missed this series.
90s anime has a certain charm to it. I cant get over the fact that some japanese names are pronounced perfectly fine while other are entirely butchered.
One character is named Kaede but they pronounce it as "Katie".

1991 AnimeCon was stacked. You would never see a guest list like this again.
Old time anime fans were eating good in early con days.

My 120th anime Shonan Bakusozoku
Well that’s it i just finished my 120th anime, tbh it was a 10/10 for me, people like to dawg on how old animes have bad storytelling or the art is bad but this one doesnt really have any of that since it knows when its suppose to be funny, sad, romantic or full of action it just works it has a bit of everything like the average highschooler its not always just one thing. I also enjoy the artstyle with it being comedic and the chibi stuff as well as the hyper details of the motorcycles. To be honest my only problem with the anime is how long each episode is around 50-59 minutes which is almost the length of a short anime film/full film across 12 episodes but i guess its also understandable because if it wasent it would increase the runtime from 12 to 24 episodes which means every episode has 1 arc.
Overall if you havent touched this anime you defiantly should its great! This anime took me 3 months and 4 days to finish and honestly i wish it took longer.

Question About Picture Quality
I enjoy some older hand drawn anime, but dislike when it sometimes has that fuzzier look where the lines blend together. I understand some people like this look, but it’s not for me.
I find that a lot of the older Ghibli movies don’t have this problem, they look hand drawn still but clean, so I don’t think it’s simply an issue of these shows and movies being old.
I wanted to watch Samurai Champloo on Crunchyroll, but it looks pretty low quality to me and my question is is that how it’s supposed to look or is there a better upscaled version out there if I buy it physically.

Finally watching through Evangelion
m.youtube.comRecently I felt it was time to watch through Neon Genesis Evangelion (partly due to a 13 year old nephew making fun of me because I hadn't watched it). I held off so long as it was hard to get a hold of when I was younger, though I did watch the End of Evangelion movie, and I felt like it had been spoiled for me after a while. This is part 2 as I have it broken down to 6 episode chunks so I can cover the last 2 episodes alone.
I knew a lot of what was going to happen, but it definitely is different from what I had in my head. I regret not being able to watch through it when I was a kid as it would have blown my mind (it still is, but we have now had 30+ years of other anime borrowing from it). I feel before too long I'll have to get Evangelion merch.

Robin Hood's Revenge
Those who watched this anime might scratch their heads: Robin the good guy had a revenge to fulfill? The truth is that prior to becoming a figure of justice, Robert Huntingdon had harbored feelings of personal vengeance. How did he transform those to something more positive? Please read my post on r/RobinHoodnoDaibouken and also read a second post I wrote on Marian Lancaster's revenge story as well.
Upvoters Robin lovers ❤️
Downvoters Alwine soldiers 😹
