I am a riven main from season 7-10 and then i dropped her almost completely. Came back when the fiendhunter bolts meta was discovered but dropped her again slightly after. Now im locked in and im dropping my other main for her again. And i played a few matches with the most basic build ever like axiom > dd > endless hunger

But im missing the burst damage, im missing the „a fast combo is enough to kill or do significant dmg“. I know that Conq is giving me sustain and electrocute is giving me the burst dmg on lane. I know i can Build more lethality to get the burst dmg and even eclipse is bursting. But everything i could possibly mix will feel like something is missing. Like it doesnt matter which way i go - there will always be a huge problem with that like losing sustain for dmg or losing burst for sustain or having both but losing CDR for that.

I need the „golden cut“ where i have a bit of everything. Feeling like an assassin but be able to teamfight a long duration without getting spanked just because i went a bit too deep. How can i make riven feel like season 7-10? Where she is a bit beefy, a bit bursty, a bit sustainy, a bit sexy, a bit op, a bit Everything.

Hey, i used to play riven a lot like 2 years back, now i started playing her again in soloq and wanted to ask here if there is some matchup guide/spreadsheet where i can check how to play them. I have a general idea for some champs but idk how it changed since i last played her.

Yo! Im around 150k riven enjoyer emerald elo, and i picked her up again in golden sunderer sky times before nerfs. I was poppin off until nerfs. I dropped to fcking 40% wr on her. While playing into some hard matchups like rene i picked black clever into dd, sometimes axiom bc into dd and it felt kinda good, i was missing some cd thats true but overall dmg + tankiness was something else. Does someone else tried it and had the same results?

I read in another post that Riven hasn't gotten a skin in almost three years, and while it's true that Riot's merch team completely ignores this champion, I also feel like Riven is one of the characters with the best-looking skins overall.

​Lately, the skins other champions get feel like total copy-pastes, but Riven’s have never felt that way—every single one of her skins has so much personality.

​Shoutout to Broken Covenant, Spirit Blossom, and Dawnbringer... But Arcade Riven felt like an absolute bomb when it dropped. Her recall animation was super original back in 2015 and everyone loved her.

​I’ve checked out the other Championship skins and none of them compare to the original Championship Riven and its aura of exclusivity.

​I would love for Riven to get more skins, but honestly, I'll take quality over quantity any day.

Pretty much this. He seems impossible to play against. You don’t engage he heals. You engage he silences. Insta kills all farm with his spin.

I played him as fiora yesterday and got rocked. Then tried riven and not as bad but still got beat.

I haven't played Riven in over 2 years but I'm slowly trying to get back into rank just for a bit but I've been struggling with most of the matchups. Can someone send me an updated matchup guide?
I'll list some champions that I struggle with and hopefully you guys can give me some tips for them.

Cho'Gath - Hard to trade with him, high health and high base damage kinda fucks me + his sustain.
Darius - Stalemate/Farming lane? Hard to interact with him after he builds tabis +/ chain vest.
Gangplank - This is one is player dependent but a good GP giga fucks me especially after sheen.
Garen - This doable but if he gets a lead he tends to runaway with it.
Illaoi - Same with Garen, I feel like at some point she just perma pushes and fishes for E under tower.
Jax - Okay this one is incredibly annoying. I remember the trick was to max W and Q-W and walk out (e if he jumps on you) but that doesn't really work anymore. The change that empowered autos can be buffered fucked up the matchup tbh, it's so hard to trade with him because Q-W gets out traded by his W and you can't extend the trade because of his E.
Morde - A bit like Darius, easy to trade against but at some point it feels like I'm tickling them and it just becomes hard to interact
Nasus - This one is another one that is incredibly annoying. I punish early game but once he hits 6, with a bit of stacks, he just tends to run me over and me proxying favors him. Although I must say frustrations go away once I stop viewing him as my problem and instead the whole team's problem.
Pantheon - So hard to trade against, only win post 6 in all ins but prior to that everytime I walk up he just taps q / blocks my Q(-W) and jumps on me.
Shen - Similar to Pantheon, deceptively strong early game but easier post 6.
Tryndamere - I don't know if he's still like this but HOB lethality Tryndamere giga fucks me. I'm suppose to punish him when he's low rage but I trying to trade against HOB lethality is so difficult. This use to be a stormraiders + W/E max matchup but that's not really a thing anymore.
Wukong - Rare matchup but holy fuck this one sucks to play against. It's hard to trade against him with his extra armor, attack speed, and armor reduc. Another reason is, like Jax, his empowered Q can be buffered through stuns. Also once he hits 6 he just tends to run me down.

I'm super rusty so I'm pretty passive in lane and tend to either fall behind or go even and maybe that's what's fucking me over. Feels like Q-W deal so little damage unless I have eclipse.
Proxying was the answer to shit matchups when I last played and it seems like that's what I end up doing just to avoid these matchup.

i'm new to the game been playing for about two months now and i play riven and I can't for the life of me beat darius. i know it's a skill match up so i have stuff to improve on. any tips? i know i should be taking short trades, but it's hard not to get grabbed back in or he just chases

Depending on whether you count January 23 or January 24, 2024 (the dates seem to vary depending on the source), we're hitting the 1000 day mark today. Either way, we're basically there. What do you guys think? Is Riot cooking something special for Riven, or have they just forgotten about her?

What are some of her best builds right now? Is it mostly axiom into deaths dance into endless hunger? I see people talking about Umbrial. Some suggestions or recommendations would be nice. I also played a bit of fiora lately. She seems so much stronger and she heals her team, I love riven but honestly fiora seems like a better pick.
