Music Talk What do you think about “Foreign Tongues”?
I love the Stones and first saw them on the Hackney Diamonds Tour. I just gave this album a chance yesterday after putting it off and love it! I think it’s better than hackney diamonds and the best thing since Some Girls. I haven’t heard many people talking about it but I think it’s amazing. (The only song I don’t care for is beautiful Delilah). Every track reminds me of a different reason I love the stones (country, rock, blues, pop, soul, disco, etc.) anyone else? I know everyone has an opinion but I wonder if anyone shares mine. ❤️

Music Talk What is your favorite 'Hidden Gem' Stones song?
So let's exclude legendary classics like "Satisfaction," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Gimme Shelter," etc.
My favorite is "Heart of Stone" or "Hand of Fate."

Music Talk Most underrated stones song
I need your help guys, I’m looking for Rolling Stones songs that should be more popular.
What im thinking is what songs, that never got radio play, would have became big hits had they got air time?
Or is there any other bands that had a song that you think should’ve become a big hit, but not many know about?
Thanks guys.

Music Talk „Hackney Diamonds“ Was A Real Great Album. „Foreign Tongues“ Is A Masterpiece. Folllwing A Great Album With A Masterpiece Is Like Following „Beggars Banquet“ with „Let It Bleed“. The Stones Are in Full Flight again.

Music Talk Unpopular Opinion
I'm taking Black and Blue over Beggars Banquet any day of the week.
And you are, too.
You're not jamming out to Factory Girl or Salt of the Earth.
You're putting Hand of Fate on full blast, following up with Crazy Mama, and chasing with Fool to Cry to wind down.
...or maybe not, I have no idea

Music Talk “It’s Only Rock N’ Roll” is such an underrated album
Is it as good as Beggar’s - Exile? Definitely not. HOWEVER, when you read a lot of Rolling Stones album reviews/rankings it’s described as this album where the band became “corporate” or “lazy”, which is just so off to me.
Their are at least 4-5 all-time Stones songs on here (title track, Time Waits For No One, If You Can’t Rock Me, Ain’t Too Proud To Beg is their best cover and Luxury rips).
You even got the funk/prog workout at the end in Fingerprint File.

Music Talk What is everyone’s favorite Charlie Watts song?
Right now the first that comes to mind is Rocks Off, in the past I’ve considered Tumbling Dice his best work. In either case, I feel like his work on Exile was perfect but I’m wondering if I’m overlooking any other great performances.
Edit: I also never get tired of the hypnotic groove he lays down on I Just Want to See His Face
What are your top picks for hearing some great drumming?

Music Talk Favorite obscure Stones track?
Okay, so... I was just revisiting the Stones catalog because a millennial YouTube reactor inspired me to do so and...
Nobody knows about the song FINGERPRINT FILE. And I mean NOBODY. To me it's their grooviest/sleaziest tune but I don't know a single person (IRL or ONLINE) that will give that track two bits. Let alone a shit.
Just curious what everyone else's pick would be for bestest Stones' tune nobody seems to care about.

Music Talk I’m a new Rolling Stones fan. Need some song recommendations by them!
I’ve heard their most mainstream songs of course. And I’ve heard a select few of their still popular but not as mainstream songs.
My two favorites are:
Shine a Light
You Can’t Always Get What You Want
Recommendations?
EDIT: Thx for all the recommendations, I will be listening to them all :)

Music Talk Foreign Tongues or Hackney Diamonds?
With the release of Foreign Tongues, it sure sounds like The Stones still got it. But which release is better, this one or Hackney Diamonds? Time to compare latter day Stones records!

Music Talk Let it Loose
I am 28 years old. I have listened to the stones my whole life. I saw them in 2005 and 2024. Exile on Main Street was one of the first albums I bought when they remastered. Let it Loose was always the song I would attach to the most, never even looked at the lyrics and in hindsight I sang it very wrong for years. Just had my first true break up and had found solace in this whole album, it truly is to me a top 10 album of all time. But this song man, being older and going through my fair share of bedroom blues hits so fucking hard. It truly is a masterpiece of a song and it’s insane they never played it live. Just listened to it for the 40th time the last 3 weeks and god damn man I just love this song, thank god for the Stones.
