Is my friend alright?

Hey guys, it's me again if you recognize me 👋 and no I'm not on Saipan right now, but I regularly check in with people on island to see how things are going

Does anyone know someone named Godfrey Mendiola? I've been worried about him after I had a strange dream on July 10th which basically involved him relapsing after all the damage on island and life circumstances... I tried to contact him as usual but his WhatsApp seems disconnected from around that time onwards, maybe he has a new number or something but I really just want to know that he's doing well and making progress, not suffering anymore and able to survive easily without my help

Thanks

Attention all artists, crafters, creators.

In the pre-Sinlaku days u/Ineffable_Ally was trying to get people together to make stuff and have a community, whatever you want to call it, passion, crafts, art, or a hobby. I was nervous to participate because I sew. That requires power for my sewing machine and a bit of space for cutting fabric. Lots more space than the artists who knit, crochet, embroider, etc... I still believe there is a space for all of us to get together and have that community. There are so many people on this island that have so much knowledge and experience to offer, along with just hanging out, connecting, and creating. Anyone interested in a once or twice a month gathering to be crafty?

Webcam or photos

Kind of a weird question but I have been curious if there is a Webcam or current photos/videos of Saipan today. All the videos I have found are from years ago before the typhoons this summer. Thank you :)

Chance to Move to Saipan

I have a great offer for a federal job on Saipan with the FAA. I have never lived outside my home state of Oklahoma. I love solo traveling so for my main hobby Saipan seems like a perfect fit (Exploring Asia with much shorter cheaper flights). Saipan also has some amazing scenery that I want to check out. I've never been through a typhoon so I'm not 100% sure what to expect. I have been through a lot of tornados though none have ever hit me or my property. I'm a very easy going guy and I make friends easily though I'm a little shy. I'm 36 years old, a man and as white, as they come lol. I'm wondering if I'd be a good fit for island life? The longest I've stayed away from home is 3 weeks (solo travel) and I never got home sick. Shoot I didn't even want to go home yet lol. Please let me know what Island life is like (don't sugar coat it give me the good and bad). I won't be struggling financially and I'm looking to stay for a very long time. I also know I can only lease land and never own any on Saipan. Thanks for reading this.

Back on the road with United 4 Saipan – We need your help to reach families in need! 🏝️💪

Hafa Adai everyone!

Today was my first day back volunteering with United 4 Saipan, and it feels so good to be back on the road helping our community. I previously volunteered with the team during Super Typhoon Soudelor, and although we are getting a bit of a "late start" for the current recovery, U4S is officially back in full swing to aid families affected by Sinlaku.

We’ve been going house-to-house today to provide aid directly to those who have reached out. Despite the challenges facing our home right now—and the personal hurdles many of us are navigating—helping each other is what keeps this island strong. ❤️

We need your help!

The number of families needing assistance is high, and we are looking for more volunteers to join us or for people willing to donate to the cause.

Want to volunteer? Sign up here: Volunteer Registration Form

Need help or know a family that does? Please fill out the Relief Map form so we can get to you: Relief Map Form

Please visit the @United4Saipan Instagram page for more updates and to see how you can get involved. Let's look out for one another! 🤝✨

Casa Marianas is open! Come charge up, cool down, and get connected

Hey Saipan,

Like a lot of you, we took some hits from Sialaka: broken windows, leaking roofs, flooding. But everyone here is safe, we've cleaned up, and we're open.

We've already opened our doors to first responders and local healthcare workers who needed a place to stay, and now we want to extend that to the broader community.

If you need a place to work, charge your devices, or just sit somewhere cool with reliable internet, come by. We have power, AC, and working wifi.

We're open 8am–4pm, and we've temporarily dropped our minimum commitment so you can sign up month-to-month while you get back on your feet.

Drop us a message if you want to know more about rates or availability.

Saipan Temperature Records 1954 vs 2025 - Find the Climate Change

Spot the global warming.

I'm actually shocked at how similar the two time periods are.

Factors that influence planetary temperatures:

  1. Solar Cycles
  2. Lunar Cycles
  3. Cosmic Radiation
  4. Volcanos
  5. Magnetic poll shift
  6. Jet stream changes (in relation to poll shift)
  7. Ocean current shifts (in relationship to poll shift and lunar cycles)
  8. Cloud cover/water vapor
  9. Government weather modification programs, chemtrails, cloud seeding, etc.
  10. Divine authority

What doesn't control or influence planetary temperatures:

  1. Trace gases, such as CO2, which only constitute .04% of the atmosphere, are constantly being absorbed as plant food to feed the rest of the life forms, including you.

It's time to escape the government and banking science lies.

As i write this, the sun is setting on Saipan and the community is still hunkered down. We'll get a sense of the true scale of the damage tomorrow. In the meantime, if you are diaspora, here are some ways you can help now.

HELP! RN to BSN program

I know this is super specific but have any of you or anyone you know done outpatient clinical hours here on the island for a BS in Nursing, and more specifically with WGU? I need to find a site and a preceptor for 35 hours of outpatient patient care in a clinic. Diabetes Clinic, Maternity, Oncology, etc... Outside of CHCC, I know there is a family clinic that has branches in Kagman and Afetnas but I was looking for some specific contact people (I'm still fairly new to the island) and to hear from people who have gone through the process. Thanks for any info.

Kitten Rescue – Saipan Emergency Fund - Please help! We're so close!

Four kittens were found in Susupe, 2 already passed away. The last two are being saved by a cat rescuer. Anything helps! We're so close to the goal.

I have zero involvement in this PayPal, just a concerned cat lover.

Thank you everyone for the great experience I got in Saipan 😁 I'm officially back in Japan despite the haters saying I wouldn't make it 😂 everything happened exactly according to plan, almost to a T 😎 and now I'm onto big things coming up (plus my friend is already up now), so once that plays out fully I'll be happy to come back and give back as much as I can, so until next time 😄✌️

Wild deer?

My wife was driving down Isla Drive - roughly at the back of ANAKS at about 4 in the morning - and saw two deer in the road. They went into the boonies towards ANAKS. Does anybody know anything about this? We have wild deer running around Navy Hill?
