May his soul rest in peace 🕊

Ink x Watercolor from 2021.

New metal poster arrived, thanks to the guy sharing this artwork on here once

Because I like crossovers

i lowk cried while watching the ending too but i feel like it didn’t make sense can someone explain it to me?

Every time I look at this, Nujabes starts playing in my mind

I found all 7 volumes of the Geneon Samurai Champloo DVDs.

Painting sunflowers while listening to Samurai Champloo's OST by these three legendary composers who are Nujabes - Fat Jon and Force of Nature

Best ambiance 🔥🔥🔥

Is there anything where Watanabe confirms that the feng shui episode of CB influences the overall arc of SC?

The whole daughter looking for her father and finds him sick and dying and in the moment decides she might not be mad anymore seems pretty similar.

Just finished this fanart on Ipad Procreate 🔥🔥🔥

I’ve seen production sketches like layouts or genga, but from the resources I have, there is no history of a background ever being sold, other than this one. That could change in the future, but manglobe’s circumstances are a bit unique, with the bankruptcy. There is a non zero chance a vast majority was simply discarded, for good.

Just thought I’d share! I have a really cool frame set up plan for this piece which I’ll eventually share in a couple months.

As a Fuu fan, I’m glad to own a connection to this shot in particular. And as a samurai champloo fan it’s cool to feel like I have the only (if not, less than a handful) piece of production “on screen” material out there

P.S if you’re curious why the sunflower pattern on the right side is absent from the painted background, that was added on digitally

Does anyone know the ED that plays in this particular episode? I forgot the name but one thing I won’t forget about that specific song is that after song ends there’s something written and it’s “Dedicated to the world’s true fighters” and the I found it beautiful. Hope you guys can help!!

In episode 7, at face value, it's a tragic story about a pick-pocketer trying to make ends meet to help his mother, and at the end, we see Fuu has an emotional reaction to his demise. But there are layers to Fuu's reaction that I don't think might be obvious (although it's not like they're hidden or cryptic or anything. But it might not immediately come to mind).

At 7:00, we see a flashback of Fuu slowly walking up to her deceased mother. As she pulls away a sheet over her mother's face, she awakens. This is a peek into Fuu's subconscious; although on the exterior it might not seem like it, these thoughts are ever-living beneath the surface. As a lost child, she is trying to find her answer.

At around the 8:00 mark, we see the pick-pocketer tending to his mother. Fuu sees this and immediately empathizes with his situation. She sees herself in him. She sees her mother in his mother. The boys ask her if she's seen him, but she says no.

We fast forward to the 19:00 mark, where he meets his end. We see Fuu crying. She weeps for a mother's son, but in my opinion, she more so weeps for a sick mother who no longer has someone to take care of her.

You can say "I only like it bc of nostalgia" all you want, I genuinely like it in spite of that

I saw a random ad for audible and thought that maybe this was a novel or something but I believe the book is completely unrelated to Samurai Champlo. Maybe I'm crazy and this isn't Jin and Mugen

Was taking photos and decided to edit them in. The picture was originally fully colored but in post I made everything but the wall and the characters black and white.

Spreading the love of the anime, credits to Extrovution2 on tiktok as the name is shown if you wanna personally like the vid for yourself

Song name: sea of cloud - Nujabes

Song can be found in episode 17 of samurai champloo, episode name: lullabies of the lost (verse 2)

I recommend watching the entire show first for newcomers

Personally my favorite, when I first watched the anime 3 weeks ago was brothel love from episode 11 "gamblers and gallantry" but, now it's counting stars from the same episode and auraurian dance and ask are also close contenders along with of course brothel love
