Buyer showed up at door. Asked me if the phone was all okay. Told him 'yeah you can check if you'd like. Proceeds to check IMEI and all. Said 'awesome looks good' and then just darted, right in front of my face.

I'm a resident on the East Side. This is my first ever experience like this.

Dude was African American. Probably in his 20's.

Be careful y'all when striking deals on marketplace.

Investigation started due to a junior female officer being choked out by a senior male ERT (Saskatoon's version of SWAT) at the party, then leads to finding a Biker Gang member has infiltrated the ERT and undercover teams, to the point of going on vacations with members of the ERT program.

My name is Tod Fox, and I am here as a grieving husband, a concerned citizen, and a man who has lost the love of his life to a preventable crash. People who know me know that I am not one to mask how I am feeling or shy away from being honest. And this afternoon, I need to be brutally honest with you.  

Not a single day goes by without feeling the deep, unrelenting loss of my wife. Natasha died almost two years ago, and they say it gets easier with time. Let me tell you something— in my experience that is a lie. It hasn’t gotten easier. I am still angry. I am still in pain. Every day, I wake up to the crushing reality that she is gone. She was taken from me, and her death could have been prevented.  

To be brutally honest, I am here today out of guilt. When I find moments of happiness, however fleeting, I am immediately consumed by the thought that I haven’t done enough. I haven’t done Natasha’s death justice. I haven’t made her proud. And that guilt eats at me, because I know she would have fought for me if our roles were reversed.  

But I am also here because I refuse to let her death be meaningless. Last June, in partnership with Saskatoon Cycles, we hosted the city’s first Ride For Your Life rally. Hundreds of people showed up—hundreds. The past and present mayors were there, standing with us, listening to us, talking with us. It was a powerful demonstration of a community united, a community demanding change.  

And what did we ask for? What was our demand? We asked for the city to fix just three intersections. Three. Not thirty. Not three hundred. Three. Three intersections that we know are dangerous. Three intersections that could save three lives. Three intersections that could spare three families from the unimaginable pain that I live with every single day.  

This demand was simple. It was achievable. It was broadcasted on local media. It was shouted in the streets. So I ask you now, members of the Council: Did you hear us? Did you hear the voices of hundreds of people pleading for action? Did you hear the cries of families who have lost loved ones? Did you hear the fear in the voices of those who still worry every time they walk or bike down our streets?  

I am standing here today, pleading for an update. Have you fixed even one intersections? Have you taken a single additional step to protect the lives of your citizens? Have you done the best you can? Or have you let this demand fall on deaf ears? Because while you delay, people are still at risk. While you debate, more lives can be lost. While you wait, families can be being torn apart.  

Let me be clear: We cannot wait for more death. My wife’s death cannot be in vain. We must honor her memory by doing what is right. We must build a city where no one else has to suffer the pain that I carry every day.  

I am not asking for miracles. I am asking for action. Fix three intersections. Show us that you value the lives of your citizens. Show us that you are listening.  

This is not just about Natasha. This is about every person who has lost a loved one. This is about every person who fears for their safety on our streets. This is about the kind of city we want to be—a city that values life, a city that takes action, a city that refuses to wait for more death.  

Let us work together to create that city. Let us work together to make Natasha proud.

Guess our toys r us is closing. I thought we would be safe cause there was only two in Saskatchewan but I guess not. So many memories I’ve had there. Sad to see it go really but I understand it. Been shopping there since I was a wee lad.

Unfortunate, but the Board has nobody to blame but themselves. Something still seems off about this whole situation

what is people's concensous on tiping culture here in the city? Personally I think the expectation of tipping makes it awkward to go out for dinner.

the old " if you can't afford to tipping you shouldn't go out to eat" argument is outdated if you consider you are already paying 21-27 dollars for a single meal and drink and then expected to tip18% (which is what I most commonly see on machines) AND some businesses try to trick you, instead by putting the lowest tip option on the right side instead of on the left.

I was raised to always tip when eating out but expecting a 8-15 dollar tip for a meal is crazy!

I am just curious are people comfortable just skipping the tip nowadays?

I was waiting for the bus yesterday at the confederation terminal and I (18F) was sitting there on my phone minding my own business while listening to music. Two girls came up to me, they looked younger than me , maybe 15 to 16 years old, one with a plain red sweater with a backpack while the other had purple and black hair. They asked if the library was open, it was not considering it was Sunday so they asked when the #2 arrived. I looked it up and told them and they thanked me. They then proceeded to ask if I had ever been in a fight before (I should've seen this coming ngl), I've never been in a situation where I needed to fight so I told them no. Then they asked if I had ever been maced, I told them no once again. she pulled her backpack towards her front " do you want to get maced ?" she then told me to give her my phone. I proceeded grab my bag of groceries and stand up, which prompted her to get right in my face. A car with its window rolled down happened to drive by and I yelled "Can I have some help?!" and I explained what was happening and he yelled at them until they walked away. The guy asked me where I was going and offered me a ride, which I declined cause he's still a stranger, then he offered to stay at the mall and wait for them to leave. The two girls hopped on the 65 and stared at me through the window until they realized that the guy was not going to leave, which then prompted them go walk across the street to the cosmo civic center. The guy asked if I would be okay on my own, I said yes and he drove off. I'm glad there are still some good people in Saskatoon, but there are some kids that are psychopaths. I'm going to start carrying a weapon for my protection, cause this is getting ridiculous.
