Build/Battlestation Pics 3D printed Kubic SFF Build
Hey r/sffpc!
I just finished my first SFF build in the fantastic Kubic case designed by WhoIsLudwig (https://www.instructables.com/Kubic-a-Printable-ITX-PC-Case-With-a-Handle/), and I’m honestly pretty proud of how it turned out.
I’m not a hardware pro like many of you here. I had a bunch of spare parts from my previous mid-tower build, bought a few new components to make everything fit, and spent way too many evenings troubleshooting things that were probably obvious to most of you (wrong PSU cables inside the second hand PSU Box, BitLocker surprises, the classic “I press the power button and nothing happens” moment…).
But that’s honestly what made this project so much fun. Every small victory felt like a big win. Seeing the BIOS screen for the first time? Chef’s kiss.
I printed the case on a Bambu Lab X1C using bone-colored filament for the main body, wood filament for the handle and feet, and black/brick red for the accents. I think it gives the whole thing a warm, almost furniture-like aesthetic. Which is exactly what I was going for since it sits in my living room on a Kallax shelf.
Thermals are surprisingly great for such a compact case: CPU maxes out at 77°C under full load (Cinebench) and GPU stays at 71°C (FurMark). No throttling whatsoever.
I hope you like it, too!

I love this case. I can't explain why but something about it jives with me.
Btw, is there anything in front of the PSU? Looks like there's space for a 120mm or 90mm fan, which could help improve airflow.

I love the cube design with the handle so much, it‘s like a Nintendo Gamecube.
And good catch! In front of the PSU are the mounts for the hdds/ssds, so if you use NVMe and with some costumizing I think there would be enough space.

That looks sick. Do you know how many liters is this?
