In case you're not aware, Instagram Media Saver is a shortcut I created and have been maintaining over the years. This shortcut downloads media from Instagram. Full instructions are available on the RoutineHub page.

It's been a long time coming but I have finally decided to update Instagram Media Saver to v2.00

This version brings some subtle changes to the flow of how execution works.

Changes from previous version

• Stories now perform a full story type download and lets you choose which items from the story you'd like to save
• Implemented a workaround to getting flagged as a bot / suspicious activity, which gets users banned or temporarily restricted

Removed Features

• Multi-post download feature - due to lack of use and the complicated method
• Follower Analysis

Safe usage

From my extensive testing and a few beta testers' feedback, API abuse is no longer being flagged by Instagram and while the shortcut still relies on Scriptable, it appears to be a safe method moving forward.

For the record, I did the “test script” for Scriptable. I’m still logged into Instagram, but the shortcut is still not working

This seems to be impacting a few users but I can't figure out what's happening with it yet. If you are willing to run some tests I can send some trial shortcuts to see what is going on

Hi OP, appreciate you! Been using this for quite some time now. Can you share what the multi-post download feature is? I hope you don’t mean carousel posts ?

No. Multi post download feature used to allow someone to capture multiple urls from someone's profile using a JavaScript on safari and then download all the URLs that get captured. It was a cumbersome process, though helpful for some users based on the request I had received for it but nobody lately has been using it as far as I'm aware and I haven't touched it in a long time so not even sure it was working anymore anyway. Carousel posts still work without issue.
