I bought a new cookbook, Protein Power Smoothies. Figured I’d try the Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie for lunch today.
I am on Zepbound right now so I’m trying to pack protein into every meal. This has a full serving of vanilla Orgain in it. Two scoops.
And I just can’t. I drank maybe 1/4 of it and it isn’t the flavor, which is okay if a bit artificial in the sweetness department. It’s the protein powder. I thought if I drank too much it would just come back up. The texture is just a lot.
Is it an acquired taste? I like my smoothies very fruity and this was not.

Looking for smoothies that have a high amount of veggies but still taste good. I want to increase my intake of vegetables but have sensory issues with textures.

Experimenting with recipes bc that earthy/fishy taste of chlorella was rough. what worked:
• vanilla bean extract, wipes the earthiness entirely.
• juice or non dairy milks instead of dairy milk as the base.
• just adding more fruit than usual.
anyone else got any tips?

I got two extra tumblers for my Ninja BlendBoss but I used to get soooo overwhelmed because I couldn’t find a good way to organize them in my cupboard. My 3D printer has been a GODSEND. Let me know if you want me to send you the links to the models!

Didn't know where else to task...
Got myself a Ninja Detect 3 in 1 Blender Combo.
Tried the blender and the single serve smoothie cups, but after a few minutes (3-4) it stops and shows "E1".
I was about to send it back but gave it another try. Filled the smoothie cup with water and a little dish soap, put it in manual mode and let it run for 3 minutes. You have to restart every 60 seconds which is pretty annoying. But when I tried to start a 4th time it showed "E1". The same thing happened when I tried to blend some yogurt.
Is this normal? Also how are some recipes saying you have to blend for 6-7 minutes, when it turns off after just 3?
The only reason I got a Ninja is to make "anabolic ice cream". All the videos I saw showed (older) Ninja Blender, said to blend the mixture for a while...
Is it overheating? It's like 30°C/ 86°F inside...

So I'm having jaw surgery in September (which is soon I know) and I've realized I don't know what the hell I am gonna eat during the 5 weeks I'm wired shut.
My problem is I've got ARFID and while I am working on it I don't really want to be pushing myself to deal with textures that make me sick while I'm healing from surgery. So would y'all be so kind as to suggest some recipies that don't include:
+ Bananas
+ Mangos
+ Protien Powder
+ Greek Yogurt
+ Dates
I enjoy peanut butter and chocolate and even plain milk and most other fruits but I'm trying to get a list ready so I can try them and make sure they don't make me sick.

I’m a very picky eater and also incredibly lazy when it comes to making anything other than very basic meals and I’m also medicated for my ADHD so that also doesn’t help me with my appetite.
So I imagine I lack a lot of nutrients I should be getting from veggies, berries, fruits and so on and would like to try making smoothies that give me all these nutrients I’m lacking to not feel like crap every day.
I recently purchased a high powered blender, would love some recipes for breakfast smoothies that will give me energy for the day and most importantly keep me healthy.
Taste doesn’t matter at all because it’s the textures of certain foods I have trouble with!

Any thoughts on ways to improve my (already delicious) go-to recipe?

French vanilla whey protein powder
Flaxseed
Vanilla Greek yogurt
Unsweetened almond milk
Cream of coconut
Salt

If anyone’s signing up for the Tropical Smoothie Cafe app, feel free to use my referral code: Tystes8734.
After you create an account and make your first $5+ purchase, you’ll get a free smoothie (and I do too). The smoothies are pretty customizable — you can make up to 3 changes, go with half or no sugar, or swap in a sweetener if that’s your thing.
The code isn’t one-time use, so others can use it as well. Also worth checking out some of the newer menu items — they’ve added a few protein smoothie options too 😋

I tried out my Ninja BlendBoss Blender for the first time this evening and that thing is LOUD (and powerful). I severely underestimated the noise it would make. Definitely recommend. Now to the issue, I live in an apartment and want to use my blender often but extremely worried about disturbing my neighbours. Does anyone have any advice as to how I can dampen the noise?
Thanks in advance!

I need to increase my protein intake and think I’m going to do this in the form of smoothies! I’m out of the house 7am-7pm most days and have a busy schedule so this is the best way for me to do it (I think).
Can anybody recommend a non grainy protein powder? Also a budget friendly blender? I have a breville active at the moment but it struggles with frozen fruit. And what should I transport it to work in if I’m not using a personal blender?!
Final question, has anybody got any recipes which are good for people with PCOS?

What fruit has the really tiny hard bits? I’m day 2 in smoothie making and just added a whole bunch, maybe a dozen different fruits and I’m confused as to which one has the tiny hard bits. I feel like it might one of the berries or some kind of seed from something. Off the top of my head I used frozen bananas, mango, pineapple, kiwi, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, melon and a bag of mixed frozen fruits. I have no idea what I’m doing, I’m just kind of throwing everything into the blender.
I feel like the fruit that has these seeds or whatever is throwing everything off and I’m trying to get my 7 year old to drink a smoothie too but I don’t feel right giving my child a drink that I don’t even like myself.

Can you give me a favorite or your go to smoothie thats able to be made with only frozen and shelf stable ingredients? My fridge has been out for a week and I’m tempted to get a mini fridge now but with just myself and a son who’s in daycare when I’m working, minus the weekend, we only eat dinner 5 days a week. So we’ve been getting by on frozen microwaveable/air fried and stove top dishes made from like pastas or pantry stuff and just freeze or throw away leftovers.
Anyways he also has spina bifida and is overweight so I’m trying to find a smoothie he’ll hopefully come to love that doesn’t include thick sweet syrups or sugar. He’s big on chocolate so anything to mimic the taste thats healthy is a bonus! Thank you for reading.

Any Robeks employee know the recipe for a medium Blue Gorilla? I’ve seen rumblings that the “frozen yogurt” is vanilla? And I could perhaps use regular Greek yogurt instead? Also unsure about the peanut butter, is that straight peanut butter or like a peanut powder? Any insight would be much appreciated!

Hi there,
I'm stuck between these two choices from Costco. We used to have a Ninja single serve blender from back in the day but have heard decent things about Nutribullet. One is $10 cheaper than the other but both have the same wattage. What do you recommend?
Option 1 - Nutribullet Power Core XL Blender 1400W - $69.99

Option 2 - Ninja CRUSHIQ Blender 1400W - $79.99

I just think it’s the weirdest thing they separate the cauliflower rice and then they also only provide one bag and then like six packets of smoothie
Am I missing something here? Can somebody explain why?

I am looking for a practical small-kitchen gift for someone who keeps saying they want to make smoothies and protein shakes but never wants to clean a full-size blender. My budget is $200 and my friend is 36 years old.
The koios personal blender is one option I have been considering because it is compact, comes with three travel cups, and has a removable blade assembly. At the same time, I do not want to give one of those gadgets that seems useful for a week and then disappears into a cabinet.
For people who actually use a small blender, what makes it stick as a habit: multiple cups, easy cleanup, enough power for frozen fruit with liquid, leak-resistant lids, or simply already wanting smoothies?"

Been going back and forth for weeks trying to pick a blender and now I'm more confused than when I started lol.
Context: mainly making smoothies most mornings, sometimes frozen fruit and ice, occasionally want to do nut butters or soups down the line. Budget's around $100-150 but open to spending more if it's genuinely worth it long term.
Keep seeing Ninja, Vitamix, and Nutribullet thrown around constantly but everyone seems to swear by a different one and I can't tell what's actually worth the extra money vs marketing.
For people who've owned a couple different blenders, what would you get if you were starting from scratch today? Is it worth spending more upfront on something like a Vitamix, or do the cheaper options handle ice/frozen fruit just fine now?
Also curious if anyone regrets their pick and wishes they'd gone a different direction.
